Little Bit About Him: Born in Boston in 1932.
He is renowned as one of America’s most significant master photographers.
When he was thirteen, he began to explore the world around him with his camera. Has a career spanning nearly fifty years.
He is currently regarded as one of America’s foremost landscape photographers. He approaches nature receptively, preferring to utilize an intuitive focus rather than merely arranging
or recording forms and surface details. He has exhibited and taught throughout the United States and abroad. Recipient of two Guggenheim fellowships and three National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) grants.
Examples of his work above and to the left.
My replicas of his style.
I think that they replicate his style well as they are simple, and they are close ups of the flowers and are done in black and white so it shows all
the detail well.
Photoshop to edit it, but I think this was probably done all by him, by just taking the photo. I think looking at this photo makes you feel relaxed as it’s quite calming with the fact that its black and
white and that there isn't anything to really think about, it’s very simple to see what the photo is all about.
This photo shows a simple image of a flower, its kind of a close up of the flower, its in black and white as to
bring more of a simple effect I think. I think this image is about the simplicity
of the world, and that there are beauties in our world that perhaps we don't appreciate unless we see it in a
photograph. Also I think maybe it might mean that he’s trying to show
that simple thinks can have as much of an effect as complex photos. This
photo would have been quite simple to take, perhaps he might of used
Definitely going to continue exploring in his style as I think that it has real potential as there are many things that could be done with this. As there are many different types of flowers, also I
could experiment with putting things in the background to bring more of a depth to the
photo.
