Faith Sharing 25th Week of Ordinary Time Generosity is the bottom line of the story in this week’s gospel . The landowner who paid all those who worked whether they came early or late, showed the generosity of our loving, heavenly Fa-ther. Our response is to say endless THANKS for all God’s gifts we enjoy. Our thanks go to all our volunteers serving in the Catechetical ministry this season. They are the hands, heart, and voice of Jesus for the children and youth of our parish.
St. Mary Class sessions begin this week, Sunday, September 20 from 10:00-11:00 am and Monday, September 21 from 6:00-7:15 pm at the Saint Ursula School Building. Families using the Home-study option also begin with the lesson for September 20. Opportunities for every family to nurture and grow in the gift of Faith are encouraged and supported by our parish team of “disciples”. Room cleaning, safe distancing, mask use and hand sanitizing will be followed for protection and safety of all.
Catechetical Sunday, observed nation-wide this week, is a reminder for every baptized person to share the Good News. The Faith which we have “received from the Lord…is handed on to you” to keep passing on to many others.

Congratulations to their parents, Godparents, and Grandparents.
Please join us in welcoming them into our Parish Family. Text and Email Scams
If you get message from “Fr. Tim” (or any of our
two parish clergy or staff) asking you to buy gift
cards, send the codes, and then be reimbursed, it is a
scam. No one will ever ask you to buy gift cards for
reimbursement. Should this happen to you, please
ignore the request.
Thought for the Week The ordinary development of sanctifying grace is
within reach of every baptized person. It is Christ
in you.

WHAT IS ALPHA?
Introductions: Welcome and meet some new people.
Alpha Online is a series of group conversations that explore life, spirituality, and faith through a Christian lens.
We create a non-judgmental and open environment where it’s easy for anyone to explore questions about life -
from the person who is not even sure if there is a God, to the person who is curious about faith, to the person
who has a solid faith. If you want to know more we’d love to invite you to try Session 1 of Alpha Online. It will
be a fun evening where you can find out if Alpha is for you. Starting Tuesday, September 22, 7:00-8:30 PM on
Zoom. HOW IT WORKS
WELCOME
WATCH
DISCUSS
Small films with big ideas: Each Alpha evening features a 25 minute film. Designed to
inspire more questions than provide answers, these short films explore the big issues
around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as “Who
is Jesus?” and “How can we have faith? “
Discuss the questions that matter to you: The entire night builds towards this
experience. After the film you will be put into a virtual breakout room and your hosts
will lead conversations in small groups where you can share your thoughts about the
topics of the videos and hear from others in your group. You can feel free to say
whatever you like or as little as you like, it’s up to you.

Which Way Do I Go? High school youth ministry will take a deeper look
into relationship with Christ this semester. Our world
is forever changing, but our God never changes. Jesus
is the way to the kingdom. Let’s unfold the life of
Christ and feed the soul.
Jesus: The way, the truth, and the life is a new and
fresh look at Jesus-who he is, what he is really like,
what he taught, and what he did for our salvation.
This encounter with Christ will inspire and empower
you (the teen) to center his or her life around him as
they come to know and love him in an ever-deeper
and more intimate way.
Change Of Time: High school ministry meets
6-8 pm.
Sept 20: Jesus and History - Despite all the efforts
made to secularize modern culture, the birth of Jesus
of Nazareth is still the central event of history by
which the world reckons time.
