54 Day Rosary Novena for our Nation This novena began on Aug 15th, the Solemnity of the Assumption, and runs through Oct 7th, the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. The faithful are asked to pray the rosary daily for the protection and conversion of our nation. The 54 day devotion consists of 27 days (3 novenas) of petition and 27 days (3 novenas) of thanksgiving for the blessings bestowed on our nation. You can still join in!! Anyone wishing a "Patriotic Rosary" booklet (for the Consecration of our Nation) please contact Barbara Lagiovane at 412-486-4209 or Mary Ann Coholich at 412-486-0165. More information may be found at https://queenofpeacemedia.com/

Faith Sharing 20th Sunday in Ordinary Time “Lord, help me”, was the cry of the woman of Canaan when she saw Jesus. Though we can’t see him in his bodily form now, our prayer can be as sincere, “Lord, help me…through the challenges of this virus pandemic.”

Faith Formation Continues for Your Family by using

the “Celebrating Sunday for Catholic Families” 2019-20 book pages 108-109. The question in “Living the Word” is “How persistent is your faith in God?” Anyone wishing to order the 2020-2021 “Celebrating Sunday for Catholic Families” booklet, please call the St. Mary Faith Formation office at 412-486-5521. The cost of the booklet will be included with the fee for Families registered in our faith formation program.

Keep praying for an end to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Registrations for 2020-2021 CCD Catechetical registrations are now being taken for in person or at home/online options. Opportunities for every family to nurture and grow in the gift of Faith are encouraged and supported by our parish team of “disciples”. St. Ursula registrations may be done online at https://stsmaryandursula.org/regccdsu.

Is Your Information Accurate in Our Records? As you update your Census this year with the government, please think about the records we have for you. Are they correct? Have you dropped your landline, but forgot to update your cell phone? Have you moved recently and don’t get your Sunday envelopes anymore? Would you like to be contacted electronically instead of the United States mail?

Please contact the rectory at either St. Mary or St. Ursula to make any changes to your records.

Which Way Do I Go? High school youth ministry will take a deeper look into relationship with Christ this semester. Our world is forever changing, but our God never changes. Jesus is the way to the kingdom. Lets unfold the life of Christ and feed the soul. Immerse Yourself In The Life Of Christ The marvelous treasures of the Catholic Faith - the Eucharist, Mary, the Saints, and the Creed - all are centered on a single figure: Jesus Christ. Jesus is more than a historical or theological figure. He is our Savior, our Redeemer, our Lord, and our God. While many of us know a lot about him already, how well can we really say we know him? Jesus: The way, the truth, and the life is a new and fresh look at Jesus - who he is, what he is really like, what he taught, and what he did for our salvation. This encounter with Christ will inspire and empower you (the teen) to center his or her life around him as they come to know and love him in an ever-deeper and more intimate way. High school ministry meets Sunday 7:00 - 9:00 pm Aug 16: Meet at Fall Run Aug 23: Meet at the youth house for the Intro - “Jesus in the Gospels and in History: Refocusing on Jesus” Aug 30: Session one - “Jesus and History”

Rocky Railway- where Jesus’ Power Pulled Us Through Thank you to the generous people who made purchases at the Stop & Shop last week during the Vacation Bible Camp. $710.00 was raised to help children at the Spiritan mission in Fondwa, Haiti.

People across the country are uniting together in prayer for three days - Aug 18-20, 2020 - to pray for a renewed passion to share our faith, more power from the Holy Spirit and for deeper unity in our churches and across our communities so that the world may believe.
