Google Apps will allow our students and teachers to develop advanced 21st Century Skills by providing email, spreadsheets, documents, presentations, and sites. These accounts will be accessible from any computer, whether at school or at home. Students can only receive email from CMIT-S staff and students, and students can only send email to CMIT-S staff and students. In rare cases, if educational need warrants, students may be allowed to send and receive email from outside recipients. In addition to the Gmail accounts, students are able to communicate, collaborate and complete assignments on Edmodo. Teachers use Edmodo to post alerts, class notes and assignments. In addition, parents should check Schoolmax, clfportal and newsletter once weekly to stay informed. All technology resources provided are for instructional purposes only. In instances where listening devices are needed, students may wear wired earbuds in class. Wireless or Bluetooth listening devices are not allowed in school. Headphones are not allowed for use at school.

Parents are able to login and monitor their child’s socio-emotional progress throughout the school year. Students are able to participate in the different activities such as field trips, dress down days, ice cream socials, dances and parties throughout the school year based on points earned.
