Learning Centres:Activities are planned and differentiated for the pupils in

five main learning centres – the Reading Centre, theWord Study Centre, Listening Centre, Be A Teacher/Funwith Drama & ICT Centre.

- A programme to help Primary 1 and 2 pupils who areweak in literacy skills to level up to their peers.

Ensure and guide your child to read the high frequencywords

Encourage your child to read books and materialsrelated to his/her interests or hobbies.

Introduce your child to a variety of texts (e.g. gameinstructions, recipes, comic books, catalogues, toyadvertisements and children’s magazines).

Teach your child to select and read texts at his/herlevel: reading texts that are too difficult can befrustrating; texts that are too easy are not challenging.
