Latino Generations Women’s FundRajkovich Children’s Fund

On Tuesday, May 3 2016 the Silicon Valley Community Foundation will host a day of giving to benefit nonprofit organizations in our region. The Community Foundation has recieved a $25,000

match for donations made directly to any of our Permanent Endowment Funds.

To donate go to cffsbc. org and click on the SV Gives Logo and select the endownment fund of your choosing.

The Martin Rajkovich Children’s Fund provides grants for quality–of–life services to sick and chronically–ill children living in San Benito County. Ashely Laurie and her family recieved a grant in the amount of $7,000 for an ADA van modification.

A $10,000 donation was received by the Latino Generations Endowment for their Scholarship. Funded by Fr. Larry Betrozoff, this scholarship is dedicated for San Benito County Latino students who possess an economic need.

Specialty Funds

A grant in the amount of $25,000 was awarded to the Cafecitos Community Café Project, a two–year domestic violence prevention program managed by Community Solutions for the Oaxacan community.

A $10,000 grant was used partly to help fund endeavors at the ARTspace, including classes, workshops, exhibitions, and programming that fosters community engagement in the arts.

A grant for $10,000 has allowed Chamberlains to attain a Joint Commission National Accreditation—demanding high–quality screening and treatment to better assess, diagnose, and treat a child—helping kids to heal, grow, and reach their goals!

A grant in the amount of $10,000 partially funded a new Tourism Program. A contract with “The Cooking Ladies” led to several articles after they visited more than 20 places of interest in San Benito County. They continue to share upcoming events with their followers.

Health & Social ServicesEducation & YouthCommunity Enhancement

Foster Grandparent volunteers, like Grandma Teresa, were supported with a grant for $6,570 in order to provide tutoring for elementary students. First grader, Chris said, “I love Grandma Teresa. She reads good to me and she talks good. Now I can read to her too!”
