1 Business Scenario

In S/4HANA Cloud, Core Data Service (CDS) views of outbound delivery orders are delivered by standard. Onyour side, key users can configure the KPIs through SAP Smart Business based on these CDS views and assignthe KPIs to related end users. For more information about the configuration steps about configuring KPIs based on CDS views, see the helpdocument of the Manage KPIs and Reports app.

Release InformationIn S/4HANA Cloud 1902, two CDS views are released: C_EWM_OutbDelivOrdQ andC_EWM_OutbDelivOrdNoDateQ.

Differences Between Two Released ViewsThe major difference is that for CDS view C_EWM_OutbDelivOrdQ, you must enter the specific start/end date, but not for CDS view C_EWM_OutbDelivOrdNoDateQ. However, for CDS view C_EWM_OutbDelivOrdNoDateQ,you must specify the offset days. For example, if you set an offset day as '0', it means you show the outbounddelivery orders whose planned goods issue date is today. If you set an offset day as '-1', it means you show thecontent of yesterday.

KPIsThe following KPIs are supported in these two CDS views in S/4HANA:· Number of outbound delivery orders· Number of outbound delivery order items· Total gross weight of outbound delivery order items· Total Net Weight of outbound delivery order items· Total Volume of outbound delivery order items· Average Delay Time in Minutes

Dashboard of CDS ViewsWith the two CDS views, you can generate a dashboard by creating tiles via SAP Smart Business. And here is one example of one dashboard configured by these two CDS view:

Outbound Delivery Order CDS Query for SAP Smart Business in S/4HANA CloudOne Example with Step-by-Step Procedure

4 One Example with Step-by-Step Procedure

Before you start the following configurations using SAP Smart Business, you must know the type of KPI that youwant to configure and the type of CDS view that can satisfy your requirements. Besides, you must know how todisplay this KPI on the launchpad and the related drill-down formats for this KPI.This document provides an example about how to use CDS view C_EWM_OutbDelivOrdNoDateQ to configureKPIs for end users to check the number of outbound delivery items that are planned for goods issue today. In thisexample, the KPI is shown on the launchpad with the total number of outbound delivery items using drill-down ofplanned goods issue in hours.

4.1 Create KPI and Report

6. Click button Activate. For more information about creating groups, see Group in Smart Business.

4.1.2 Create KPI

This step is the key step for the KPI configuration in SAP Smart Business. In this step, select the CDS view andrelated measure, and enter the parameters for the view selection.

To do this, perform the following actions:1. Open the Manage KPIs and Report app.2. Choose the KPI button.3. Choose the KPIs tab.4. Choose the Add button and the group No. of ODO Items Example.

In the header area, enter the title of the new KPI No. of ODO Items KPI Example as the screenshotbelow.

5. On the same screen, in the Data Source Details area, choose the Define button to define a datasource.Enter the following data and choose OK button:

o CDS View: C_EWM_OUTBDELIVORDNODATEQo OData Service: use F4 for the value helpo Entity Set: use F4 for the value help

6. On the same screen, maintain the input parameters:o Warehouse: <your warehouse>o Offset Day for Start Date: 0o Start Time: 00:00:00o Offset Day for End Date: 0o End Time: your shift start time e.g. 23:59:59o Picking Lead Time in Minutes: 60o Loading Lead Time in Minutes: 60o GI Lead Time in Minutes: 60o Weight Unit: KGo Volume Unit: M3

Noteo The offset day 0 means today.

By this offset day and start/end time, the system only displays the outbound delivery items whoseplanned goods issue is today. The parameters Picking Lead Time in Minutes, Loading Lead Time in Minutes and GI Lead Time inMinutes are used to calculate whether the related outbound delivery items are overdue in the future. For example, the current time is 9 a. m. and one outbound delivery item is planned to be goods issuedat 10 a.m. today. Plus, for this item, the picking lead time in minutes is 30; loading lead time inminutes is 40; and GI lead time in minutes is 50. For this outbound delivery item, the whole outboundprocess is not started yet.

One Example with Step-by-Step ProcedureCustomer Customer

If your warehouse starts to process this outbound delivery item now, it will take around 120 minutes tofinish whole outbound process that includes 30+40+50 minutes. This outbound delivery item will befinished at 11 a.m. Therefore, this item will be calculated as overdue item. These 3 parameters are only useful when you want to generate a KPI for the overdue outbounddelivery item. In this example KPI, these three parameters are not helpful. Therefore, even though youkeep these values, they don't have any effects on the KPI.

o The parameter Weight Unit is only used when an end user chooses the value measure Total GrossWeight of ODO Items or Total Net Weight of ODO Items.

o The parameter Volume Unit is only used when an end user chooses the value measure Total Volumeof ODO Items.

o You can choose the Adapt Filter button to add more filters as input parameter. For example, if the KPI is number of unfinished outbound delivery item, you can add completionstatus into the filter and assign value Not Equal to 9 - Complete.

7. On the same screen, in Semantics area, select the value measure Number of ODO Items.

NoteThis measure determines how to measure the results of the CDS query. For CDS viewC_EWM_OUTBDELIVORDNODATEQ, different measures are available for use.

8. Choose the Activate button.

4.1.3 Create Report

You can use this step to configure the drill-down page of the KPI. If you don't need the drill-down of the KPI, or youwant to navigate to other Fiori views from Smart Business KPI Tile, you can skip this step.In the following example, you create one drill-down chart view for the KPI No. of Outbound Delivery Items:
