Baptism: Classes in English are on the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm. Please call the office to register for a class. After attending class, the baptism date is to be scheduled through the parish office. Marriage: Couples need to schedule a meeting with the priest at least six months before the proposed marriage date to begin the necessary preparations for the sacrament of marriage.
Quinceañeras: Our Lady of the Valley Quinceañeras! Requirements include to be a part of Good Fighters in Family Ministry and the one-day Quinceañera retreat. You can register in the parish office Monday through Friday. 208-459-3654
Bautismo: Se requiere instrucción pre-bautismal para padres y padrinos. La clase en español es el primer Miercoles del mes a las 7:00 pm. Despues de asistir a clase pre-bautismal, fecha para bautisar se proveera por la oficina parroquial Matrimonio: Se requiere que parejas interesadas en celebrar su matrimonio en la Iglesia se comuniquen con el sacerdote por lo menos con seis meses de anticipación a la fecha deseada para la boda, con el fin de cumplir todos los requisitos para el sacramento del matrimonio.

The scene in today’s gospel is quite a contrast to last Sunday. Due to the people’s lack of faith in Nazareth, Jesus could only cure a few sick. After that frustration, Jesus tries a different approach sending out the apostles. As we heard, the apostles had great success in their mission, expelling demons and curing the sick. The contrast between the people in the synagogue of Nazareth and the apostles (plus those they cured) is intentional. The Nazareans had the opportunity, but talked themselves out of it. The apostles were open to Jesus’ grace and instruction, and they had success. Sometimes the best solution is to not overthink a situation. If we stick to what we know is correct and what Jesus taught, we should be in good shape.

Debido a la falta de fe de la gente en Nazaret,
Jesús solo pudo curar a unos pocos enfermos.
