BORN INTO ETERNAL LIFE

“...I am more generous toward sinners than toward the just. It was for their sake that I

came down from heaven; it was for their sake that My Blood was spilled. Let them not fear

to approach Me; they are most in need of My mercy.” (Diary, 1275)

“God created man a rational being, conferring on him the dignity of a person who can initiate and control his

own actions. ‘God willed that man should be ‘left in the hand of his own counsel,’ so that he might of his own accord seek his Creator and freely attain his full

and blessed perfection by cleaving to him.’ Man is rational and therefor like God; he is created with free

will and is master over his acts.” (CCC #1730)

MOVE YOUR FEET TO GIVE A CHILD A SEAT The Catholic Education Foundation (CEF) works with the Diocese of Joliet schools to give scholarships/grants to families in financial need so that more children have the opportunity to attend a Catholic school. This year, the Catholic Education Foundation gave over $11,000 in aid to sixteen Our Lady of Peace School students. This year, our school will help in raising money for the Catholic Education Foundation by having a school spirit day on October 19th. Students and staff members are encouraged to wear their Crusader gear in support of our school and Catholic education. All participants will be asked to donate at least $1 that we will give to the Catholic Education Foundation in hopes giving other children the opportunity to attend a Catholic school. If you are interested in donating to the Catholic Education Foundation you can go to www.CEFJoliet.org/Move-Your-Feet or you can call them at 815-221-6127. Party Guests. Prophet Isaiah paints a picture of a grand party of God’s mountain. It is a feast with rich food and choice wines. St. Matthew tells the story of a splendid wedding feast with invited guests who rudely decline and refuse to come. They are replaced with

everyone off the street- good and bad alike. But good or bad at first, each must wear the wedding garment, that is, put on the baptismal garment who is Christ.

~Who will I not ignore today? ~How can I not let my important business get in the way of attending God’s business?

GRANDPARENTS/FRIENDS DAY On Friday, October 20th, Our Lady of Peace School will have their annual Grandparents/friends day.
