Religious Education ~We will celebrate a children’s Mass every Sunday at 10:45 a.m. All children and parents are encouraged to attend. ~Confirmation Confirmation has been rescheduled for Sunday, April 6 during the 12:15 p.m. Mass. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Thomas Donato.

2014 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal This year the theme of the Appeal is When I Called, You Answered. It comes from Psalm 138 where the psalmist thanks God for hearing his prayer. God calls us also and we answer in many ways. The Archbishops Annual Appeal (AAA) is one way God calls and our par-ticipation is our answer to Him. The AAA

provides the poor with food, shelter and clothing; makes religious education, spiritual guidance and CYO athletics available for the young; ensures the future leadership of the Church with seminarian education and training; and most importantly, brings Christ’s Good News to the peo-ple of the Archdiocese. Supporting the Archbishop’s An-nual Appeal is our thanks to God for hearing our prayers. Pencils and AAA envelopes will be located in the church pews and in the back of the church. Thank you.

New or Gently Used Communion Outfits Wanted There is an overwhelming need for white dresses, veils, suits, shirts, and shoes in the inner city. If you no longer need or want an old Communion outfit, the Junior Stewards of Good Shepherd Academy will be honored to deliver them to youngsters receiving their First Holy Com-munion. Please deliver them to Holy Family Rectory (28 Brookline Ave.) or call Gale Maddaloni at (973) 320-5794.

Spring Trip to AC The Women’s Auxiliary is hosting another fun-filled bus ride to the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City on Wednesday, April 23. The fare is $25. In return, guests will receive a $25 voucher from the casino. The bus will depart from the Church on Prospect St. at 9

a.m. Please park in the Church lot. For reservations, call Dottie at (973) 759-3189.

2nd Sunday of Lent “Go forth from the land of your kinsfolk and from your father’s house to a land that I will show you.” GENESIS 12:1 God calls all of us to leave behind our old ways and to follow Him, placing our complete trust in Him. Some of the old ways that we may have to strug-gle to leave behind might be materialism, selfishness and greed. Yet God promises to show us a new land, a better place than the rat race we often live in now.

Palm Crosses Sister Mary Rose and her dedicated volunteers will be selling palm cross-es in the garage before and after all masses on March 22/23 and 29/30. Each cross is $10. Proceeds benefit the OLMC CCD Program. We can always use more volunteers to help sell crosses. If you’re interested, please call the rectory.

Honor Roll Congratulations to OLMC parishioners, and Paramus Catholic students, Isabel Rose Agapito and Joseph Stefanelli for achieving the Honor Roll. Keep up the great work!

Jesus the Healer Holy Family Church is pleased to host the Franciscan Mystery Players of Notre Dame Church in this dramatic, multi-media presentation of the Passion and Death of Our Lord and the healing events in His life. Through the use of special lighting and sound, this moving dramatic medi-tation promises to be a high point in one's spiritual jour-ney. Because of the intensity of the subject matter of suf-fering and death, it is not recommended for children who have not yet reached the second grade. We strongly en-courage all our adults and teens to attend this unique and prayerful presentation on Friday, March 28, 8 p.m., in the Church.

Do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow

will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own

trouble be sufficient for the day. ~Jesus
