Chilewich is making a significant environmental development by replacing the petroleum-based plasticizers in our yarns with phthalate-free, renewable vegetable compounds. Plasticizers have traditionally been made from petroleum-based compounds that are used to make PVC yarns soft. No more. We call these innovative new yarns and the fabrics made from them TerraStrand™. All of the products in this catalog are made in the USA (with the exception of Mod, Dahlia and Linen Napkins).

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONSPLACEMATS Be sure to store Chilewich® placemats flat. Do not fold or allow to crease. Chilewich® placemats are easily cleaned by wiping down with soap and water or standard tabletop antibacterial cleanser. A high temperature sanitizer can be used up to once a week. We do not recommend running placemats through a dish washer. Do not iron or dry with a heated dryer. Permanent stains may result when certain food or liquids are left on the tablemat for long periods before clean-ing. Substances like tomato, saffron, paprika or chili may be problematic on lighter color textiles. Should a stubborn stain occur, woven vinyl is very durable and can withstand aggressive scrubbing with a soft bristle brush and a bleach-based cleanser. This will remove the stain without altering the fabric.

PLEASE NOTE: Tuxedo Stripe, Mod and Dahlia styles require gentle care without abrasive scrubbing.

NAPKINS Machine wash warm (40°C or 100°F). Non-chlorine bleach only. Dry flat. Do not tumble dry. Warm iron (110°C or 230°F). Ironing should be done on slightly damp napkins for best results.

CHILEWICH® PLACEMATS / CUSTOM SIZESThe following are available for customization: Bamboo, Basketweave, Mini Basketweave, Bouclé, Engineered Squares, Kono, Lattice, Rib Weave, Spun, Tuxedo Stripe.

The following are available in 14 x 19.25in (36 x 49cm) and 12x16in (30 x 41cm)oval shapes: Bamboo, Basketweave, Mini Basketweave.

*Additional sizes and weaves NOT available in ovals.

Please make sure you have the following information available before requesting a quotation from your sales rep: Size, Weave and Color. Quantity Prices are valid for four weeks from date of quote and are based solely on the quantity listed in the quotation.

The standard lead-time for custom tablemats is two to four weeks within the U.S. Exceptions may apply internationally.

We do not require physical samples of trays be supplied to fit tray liners any longer.

Our tolerances allow +/-3/8in (1cm) in each direction for custom mats and +/- 1/4in (7mm) for custom coaster. Special sizes are hand cut and sealed so they cannot be exact.

Maximum diameter for round table covers is 60in (152cm), except Basketweave, which is 70in diameter (178cm). Exceptions may apply. Minimum size for round placemats is 4in (10cm).

ENGINEERED SQUARESAvailable in custom size placemats and coasters smaller than 14 x 19in (36 x 48cm).

SPUNMaximum size for rectangular table covers is 46 x 250in (117 x 635cm). Minimum size for round 6in (15cm). Maximum size for round table cover is 46in (117cm). Exceptions may apply.

TUXEDO STRIPELimited customization available. Please contact your sales representative.

LATTICEMaximum size for rectangular table covers is 56 x 250in (142 x 635cm). Maximum size for round table cover is 50in (130cm). Minimum size for rounds is 4in (10cm).

■ Permanent labels are being introduced on our hospitality-sized rectangles (12 x 16 in. / 30 x 41cm), and will ultimately be rolled out to include most styles and sizes.

■ Labels are applied with ultrasonic welding.

■ The labels are intended to be permanent.

■ Follow normal Chilewich cleaning instructions.

■ You can use the placemat on either side... label up or down.
