    PIAZZOLLAS MUSIC, is a concert in which the talented singer and the prestigious sextet go through a repertoire built up of works by Astor Piazzolla: "Lunfardo", "Buenos Aires hora cero", "Los pajos perdidos", "Chiquilin de bachin", "La bicicleta blanca", "Vuelvo al sur", "Mara de Buenos Aires", "Libertango, among others.

    Elena went a long way in the musical comedy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, playing major roles in "Les Miserables," "Fever Saturday night", "Jazz, Swing, Tap" and "Mina, che cosa sei?!?" for which she earned her rst ACE award for best Actress in musi-cal Comedy and a Clarn Award for best musical.

    In 2005 she traveled to London to audition for the role of Eva Peron in "Evita", the Opera rock by Andrew Lloyd Weber. She won the role and carried it out during 2006 and 2007, harvesting great reviews. For this work she received her rst Lawrence Olivier Award nomination for Best Actress in a Musical.In 2008 she starred for the second time in a show in London, "PIAF" by Pam Gems, under the direction of Jamie Lloyd. The reviews are excel-lent again and in this opportunity she conquers the prestigious "Lawrence Olivier Award" for Best Actress in a Musical.

    After a successful season in London, "PIAF" arrives in Argentina directed by Lloyd, brought by the hands of Adrian Suar and Fernando Blanco. The show became the theatrical event of the year in Bs. As and the entire season was sold out. In 2010 the play was performed in Madrid.Elena returned to London to work with Lloyd again, this time in Passion, presented at the Donmar Warehouse which earned her a third nomination for the Lawrence Olivier Award 2011 for Best Actress in a Musical. In Argentina in 2011 she won the Konex Award for best actress of the decade in a musical comedy.

    In 2012 stars "Evita" by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Weber again; this time on Broadway, with Ricky Martin and Michael Cerveris.

    He ventured into movies with the short lm "La Voz" by Sabrina Farji and then came Un amor by Paula Hernndez (Condor Award for female revela-tion), La Vida Anterior by Ariel Broitman, Otro Corazn by Toms Snchez, Wakolda (Sur Award for best Supporting Actress) by Luca Puenzo and Amapola by Eugenio Zanetti.

    As singer Elena has recorded three independent albums, Elena Roger en concierto. Recorriendo el rock nacional(production and musical direction Javier Lopez del Carril) nominated to Gardel Awards 2007 - Best Rock Artist-, Vientos del Sur (production and musical direction Juan Este-ban Cuacci) winner of the Clarn Award 2010 Figure of Popular Melodic Music- and the recently released Tiempo Mariposa (production and musical direction Javier Lopez del Carril) with which she is touring Argentina and abroad.

    In June 2012 she was declared prominent gure of the culture of Buenos Aires City.

    Roger receives the CILSA Award to social com-mitment 2013 for her charitable initiative to spread and make visible the program "From the feet to the heart", gestated by the designer Alejandra Gougy of "Cosecha Vintage".

    She is currently presenting across the country and abroad her new album Tiempo Mariposa.

    Daniel Pipi Piazzolla starts Escalandrum in 1999. The band's name comes from the combina-tion of escalandrn (an Argentinean shark that "Pipi" used to sh with his father Daniel, a family activity started by his grandfather Astor) and drum.

    With fteen years of experience, the group has edited six albums of original music, Bar los amigos (2000), Estados Alterados (2002), Sexteto en movimiento (2004), Misterio-so (2006), Visiones (2008), Vrtigo (2013) and two going through Astor Piazzollas work, the multi-award winner Piazzolla plays Piazzolla (2011) and Las cuatro estaciones porteas (2014).

    The sextet has already taken their artistic propos-al to more than 40 countries worldwide. Performing at the most prominent concert halls across the 5 continents.

    Escalandrum ocially launched "Piazzolla plays Piazzolla" in Buenos Aires, at Gran Rex theater in front of 3000 people, with Paquito D'Rivera as special guest. It got a widespread repercussion from the public and the press, never seen before for a jazz or tango group in Argentina.

    That year also comes the nomination, along with Chick Corea and Al Di Meola, to the Latin Grammy awards for Best Instrumental Album.

    In 2012 Escalandrum undertook a world tour which included two tours to Europe (with

    outstanding presentation in La Villete in Pars, The Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, Den-mark, VIC Festival in Barcelona, Poland, Denmark, Austria, etc.), a tour of Israel, and a series of activi-ties in NYC where the highest point was the concert at the mythical "Birdland" with the singer Ute Lemper and D` Paquito Rivera. The group closed the world tours in October participating in the prestigious Festival Cervantino, performing 14 concerts throughout the length and breadth of the Mexican territory."Piazzolla plays Piazzolla" was triply awarded at the Gardel awards (the most important of Argentinean music), "Best Jazz Album", "Best Album of the Year" and "Gardel of Gold". This award was received by great names of the Argentinean Popular Music like Mercedes Sosa, Luis Alberto Spinetta, Charly Garca and Fito Pez.

    In 2013 the sextet presented his seventh album "Vertigo" around Argentina. Their music was a great success at the Montral Lumire Festival.

    In 2014 Escalandrum turned 15 year of career with the same formation. The group appeared in two of the most prestigious Festivals of the World: Red Sea Festival of Israel and the Montreal Interna-tional Jazz Festival.

    This year they received a third Gardel award for "Vertigo" and performed at the Guadalajara Inter-national Book Fair, with the popular singer Julieta Venegas as a guest.
