Caring for the Caregiver New! Caregivers have many challenges to face including the tendency to neglect their own
health....physical and emotional/mental health. There are many changing needs when caring for a loved
one from changing family relationships, negotiating the healthcare system and social services availabil-
ity, to meeting one's own needs and setting boundaries. The goal of this course is to gain insight that
will not only support you in caring for you loved one, but also caring for yourself. Facilitated by Mari-

low enrollment, you will be notified
promptly and given the opportunity to
switch to another
activity, obtain a letter of credit, or
obtain a full refund. If you have an
unforeseen
circumstance and cannot attend your
activity, we will refund your fee less
a $5 processing fee provided you notify
us at least 3 days
prior to the start of the activity. A letter
of credit only will be issued for refunds of
$10 or less.
Bridge Improvement Looking for an opportunity to bring your bridge
game up a notch? Bring your requests and have
the class customized to include play techniques,
defensive techniques, special conventions,
competition and more! Review bidding
convention and strategies or Learn newer or more
current strategies and play ideas. Will discuss 2
over 1 if the class as a whole wants to take the

Novice Bridge I: For New Players A perfect class for new players and also for those
who haven’t played in years and need a refresher
course. Learn to play this great game in a non-
competitive setting. Classes will cover the
overall game, introductory bidding and contracts,
play of the hand and some defensive tech-
niques. All classes will provide hands on
experience with bidding boxes and Boards with
prepared hands to play to complement the class
lesson. Bridge is a game you can play forever so
invite a friend and learn to play bridge

Preventing Disease by Eating Well New! Are you confused by all the nutr ition
information you hear today? Join this interactive
group program for nutrition knowledge, helpful
hints, recipes, and so much more. The program
focuses on mindful eating techniques; selecting
healthy foods; practicing portion control;
exploring the nutrition facts panel; and eating
healthy when away from your home. The easy,
basic nutrition information is based on the Centers
for Disease Control & Prevention Program
presented by a graduate Nutrition Education
student with extensive food background. Enrolled
participants will have a chance to win six-10
minute Eating Well telephone

handmade greeting card is
more than a piece of paper.

as rubber stamping, heat embossing, watercolor
enhancements, and paper folding, to create unique
greeting cards. You do not need to be an artist.

person (and their caregiver) to become
successful advocates for their health care.

Legacy Writing: The Stories Of Your Life This class will help you find the meaningful stories of
your life as you write about personal experiences and
family history. Starting out with vignettes and short
pieces, we’ll sharpen your skills and begin shaping raw
material into memoir, poetry, or personal essays. No

Cardio & Core Circuit An added twist to Cardio & Core, this intermediate to

intense workout. This class is done in circuit training style

Tai Chi/Qigong Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese mind-body practice of flowing,
circular movements often called "Moving Meditation." It
provides the basic structure of balance, strength and flexibility
through focused deep breathing with attention to exact
repetition of movement patterns. Many movements can be
done either seated or standing. Wear loose clothing and
comfortable shoes. Sandy Wiebusch has practiced and taught
Tai Chi for the past 20 years.

Anna Maria Adult Day Program at the Orange Senior Center
The Orange Senior Center has partnered with Anna Maria of Aurora to operate
the Adult Day Program.
The Adult Day program offers participants a fun and enriching outing while in a
safe supervised environment. Family members are afforded a break from
caregiving responsibilities knowing their loved ones are enjoying themselves
and are being well cared for. The program may particularly benefit persons with
early memory impairment, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s or other physical or mental
limitations. It is also perfect for those needing supervised socialization
opportunities.
