GENERAL NOTES

Situation Calf Heath Farm lies very close to the M6 and A5 and is within 1 mile of Junction 12 M6 interchange. From Penkridge travel south on the A449 and after 1 ½ miles pick up the A5 At Gailey roundabout towards Cannock and the M6. Travel to the M6 Junction and go straight over towards Cannock and Brownhills and after 600 yards take the first right at the traffic lights signposted Four Ashes Industrial Estate into Vicarage Road. Continue 1 mile (passing over the M6) down the straight road with the farm drive lying on the right (just before the 50 miles per hour signs). From the A54 Featherstone and Coven pick up the A449 and travel north towards Penkridge and the A5 interchange. At the second lights by the Four Ashes Public House turn right into Station Drive and continue through the Industrial Estate and under the low railway bridge. Travel over the canal and out of the built-up area with the farm drive lying on the left approximately 100 yards from the canal bridge. SALE GOERS BEWARE! The railway bridge at Four Ashes Industrial Estate is only 12ft x 3 (3.7 metres) and all large vehicles are advised to travel round via Junction 12 and Vicarage Road. ‘To the Sale’ and ‘Car Park’ signs will be erected on the morning of the sale.

VAT on Export Goods – Under regulations imposed by HM Customs & Excise, the auctioneers must account in a proper manner for VAT on export goods. Therefore, any customers who have no trading pattern record with the auctioneers must pay all VAT on the purchase price of goods on sale day. On receipt of all relevant export documentation and bills of laden (which must be received in the prescribed time limits), the auctioneers will then refund relevant VAT sums.

This genuine dispersal arises as a result of the retirement of Mr Michael Fortescue whose family have been tenants on the Monckton Estate since 1961. Many items within the sale have been owned from new including the Deutz Tractor and Laverda Combine and purchasers should attend and bid with confidence at this genuine retirement dispersal.
