Conference Venue

The conference will take place in one of the historic districts of St. Petersburg -

on Vasilyevsky Island. It is here that by decree of Peter I the first scientific institution of

Russia - Curiosities was organized. In subsequent years, Vasilyevsky Island became the

scientific center of St. Petersburg - it houses the Imperial (Petersburg) Academy of Sciences

(now St. Petersburg Scientific Center of RAS), St. Petersburg State University, Saint

Petersburg Mining University and others. In 1882, the building for the country's geological

survey - GeolCom (now FGBU "VSEGEI") was founded on Vasilyevsky Island.

Today, St. Petersburg is one of the most unique cities in Russia, which

harmoniously combines high academic achievements in various fields of science and their

practical implementation. Numerous geological institutions performing research and

production work on the basic directions of geological study, involving an arsenal of modern

methods and energy of young professionals to problem solving, are concentrated here.

Conference Format

Within four working days, we propose to receive oral and poster

presentations on the Conference topics. School-seminars with leading experts and

tours of FGBU "VSEGEI" will be organized during the Conference. Conference

participants – authors of the best presentations – will be awarded diplomas and

memorable gifts.

Conference materials and presentations are accepted in Russian and English (at the

author’s discretion)

Materials submission

Requirements to submitted materials are posted on the Conference website.

Poster presentations

Poster size 95 × 150 cm (width × height), vertical orientation.

Oral presentations

Duration of oral presentations ̶ 15 min. All the necessary multimedia equipment for

visual representation will be provided..

Publication of materials

Materials presented at the Conference will be published in electronic form. Upon

recommendation of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, the best papers will be

passed to the Editorial Board of "Regional Geology and Metallogeny" periodical, which is

included in the list of journals recommended by the State Commission of Academic Degrees

and Titles of the RF. Submission of publication to the periodical is made in accordance with

the rules of articles preparation for publication.

Accommodation

Accommodation and hotel booking is made by the Conference participants personally.

Hotel information will be provided to participants in the following circulars and posted on

the Conference website.

Program for accompanying persons

There is no special program for accompanying persons during the Conference.

If desired, the accompanying persons may participate in the Conference, schools,

workshops, and excursions.

Visa

If necessary, standard invitation for visa arrangement to the Russian Federation will be

sent.
