    EXCECUTIVE SUMMARY

A major focus of this Assignment involves finding a relationship

between CGPA of students and their placements.

The research study concentrate around the process carried out at our

own college ISB&M with the junior batch.

The main objective of our research was:-

To study & analyze the causal linkbetween CGPA and Placements.

To determine the factors responsible forInterns.

To analyze weather Academics is givenmore weightage or the extra curricle

    activities.

The process started with getting a questionnaire filled by the junior

batch. A sample of 33 students was taken. The questionnaire contains

15 questions and we used mainly Nominal & Likert scale. The research

got even more interesting when we got the expected results. While

analyzing and concluding the research we found out that factors like

Extrovertness of a student, his taking part in other activities, being

confident & smart with an average academic score was what got them

plaud first thus we concluded that there is no direct relation between

CGPA and intern. It is important to maintain a decent CGPA but not

the most important other factors play a crucial role.

    OBJECTIVE

The objective of our research is to find a causal relation between the

CGPA of a student and their internship placement. We want to find

out the factors that help the student in getting placed for which we

have taken consideration like CGPA, Intelligence, Extrovertness,

Participativeness in Co- Curricular activities , Number of Assignments

done, Academics Experience and some other factors. Therefore our

motive is to find whether CGPA results into placements or other said

    factors.

    FRAMING HYPOTHESIS:-

Hypothesis 1: CGPA does not play an important role in getting thestudents placed.

Hypothesis 2: it has been proved that students between 4 to5 CGPA gotplace early.

Hypothesis 3: Extrovertness has been the most important characteristicfor getting placed.

Hypothesis 4: Academics have a positive relation with placement. Hypothesis 5: Written assignments have not helped the students in

    getting placed.

Hypothesis 6: Participation in co- curricular activities has been given a lotof weightage.

Hypothesis 7: past experience at certain place has been given weightage. Thus we can conclude by saying that other factors have been given more

importance than CGPA in getting a student placed for interns.
