5. Independence day 14-08-2017 An inspiring movie was shown on
the eve of independence day. This
was followed be a candle light peace
march, with in our campus. Both
staff and students participated in the
event. Slogans were shouted and
national anthem sung. Generally an
emotional patriotic atmosphere was
created on the eve of independence
day.

15-08-2017 On Independence Day sweets were
distributed by NSS volunteers to all
the participants of the Independence
day. This was followed by a visit to a
nearby Municipal School in Dighi.

school they interacted with the
students and encouraged them to
show case their talents.
6. Orphanage visit 17-08-2017 Rishabh SE (E&TC) celebrated his
birthday in the Renuka Sishugrah, an
orphanage in Dighi. The contribution
for the gifts and sweets was given by
the students and the staff.

6. SRD and RD 18-08-2017 Surbhi and Sufi went for pre
selection for State level and national
level Republic day Parade. Sufi is

Consultant of “ACE
IMPRESSIONS”, Commander (retd)
Girish Konkar, founder ”Beyond
Horizons” conducted various session.
Prizes were given to the overall best
team and for events debate, creative
writing, model making and talent
hunt, where the leadership and team
building skills were evaluated.

11. Cylothon Rally 17-09-2017 In the cylothon organized by NSS,
Pune university in collaboration with
Lokbiradari Mitra Mandal Trust, 6
students and Mr V Hivrale
participated. The students completed
the 12 km circuit, while Mr Hivrale
completed the 22 Km one. The
participants were given medals and
certificates.

A street play competition was
organized by SPPU NSS, Bar
association of Pune, NYKS and the
Pune District Legal Services
Authority from 20th to 23th
September. Two teams from our
college participated in this event.
Their topics were cyber crime and
domestic violence. One of our teams
stood 4th amongst the 70
participating teams.

16. NSS Camp 5-01-2018
to 11-01-
2018
A university level NSS camp was
organized at Khamgoan, Junnar. 42
students along with staff members,
participated in this camp. A typical
day of our students started with
exercise and yoga. This was followed
by Shramdan. In the afternoon the
students freshened up. After lunch
they had interactive sessions with the
villagers, which was followed by
lectures by imminent personalities.
After dinner cultural programs were
held with a social message. Besides
carrying out cleanliness activities,
our students helped build and repair
internal road, a drain and constructed
a small bund on the stream. They
accompanied Mr Vinayak Khot, a
holder of Guinness book record, to
Shivneri fort for cleaning and
restoration work. They also
conducted teaching activities and
games at the village schools.

18. Visit of students and

performance
20-01-2018 Our students taught dance steps to
children of Yashvantrao Chavan
Municipal School. The NSS
volunteers visited the school after
college hour to teach the students of
the school. The school students were
brought to AIT on 20-01-2018. They
enjoyed seeing various competitions
like robo race, pick and place etc.

performance in Esmeralda. Director
AIT gave them gifts, which were

19. Republic day
