ABOUT THE AMERICAN PATHOLOGY FOUNDATION

The American Pathology Foundation (APF) is a professional society devoted to the business ofpathology. Founded in 1959, the Foundation focuses on providing quality educational programs,practice management resources and networking opportunities for its members. Each educationaltopic within the Foundation’s programs is carefully selected and developed to meet pathologists’and practice managers’ most current needs and provide them with practical management information for implementation within their practices

CONTINUING EDUCATIONPractice manager attendees at the APF’s 6th Annual Pathology Practice Management BootCamp can earn 10 credits towards the American Pathology Foundation’s Practice ManagerCertification (CPM). This certification encourages participation and educational excellence within the APFmembership through attendance at Foundation conferences and other programs focused on pathology businessand management education. For more information on the requirements to become an “APF CPM” – CertifiedPractice Manager, please contact the APF National Office.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas, Elements and Policiesof the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of theAmerican Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) and the American Pathology Foundation (APF). ASCP is accreditedby the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The ASCP designates this live educationalactivity for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensuratewith the extent of their participation in the activity.

Forms to claim credit for CPM and CME activities will be provided on site and can be returned to the Registration Desk at theconclusion of the program or may be mailed or faxed to the APF National Office. Certificates are mailed to participants.
