Program Rules:

• Planning, design, and acquisition costs are 100% locally

funded

• Federal funds available for construction only

• Construction costs are 20% local match and 80% federal

funds

• 20% local match must be cash, not in-kind

• Funds are on a cost reimbursement basis

• If selected, an AFA with TxDOT must be executed within

one year

• Must advance to construction within four year

• Broadway/Main Street intersection – New signals cannot be turned on until the northbound

lanes have been poured between FM 518 and Jasmine

• Bridge work continuing – Work is about to begin on the final segments of the Town

Ditch and Hickory Slough bridges once drainage outfalls have been completed

• Drainage – Drainage trunks and laterals now complete at Clear Creek

and the subgrade ready for excavation

• TxDOT Area Office has approved the City’s plans for modifications to the Crossing for the Quiet Zone

• BNSF has agreed to replace and extend the crossing panels on FM 518 at no charge to the City

• Railroad has begun work to replace ties beneath the tracks throughout the Pearland area
