TE Program

Program Rules:

• Planning, design, and acquisition costs are 100% locally

funded

• Federal funds available for construction only

• Construction costs are 20% local match and 80% federal

funds

• 20% local match must be cash, not in-kind

• Funds are on a cost reimbursement basis

• If selected, an AFA with TxDOT must be executed within

one year

• Must advance to construction within four year

ITS Project

• Max Road

– Negotiated scope and fee sent to TxDOT for review and

approval

– Staff is reviewing the scope and proposal

TIP Projects Update

• Milling operations began immediately upon the

traffic change over in late September

• Subgrade stabilization was completed

• Remaining portions of the bridge were demolished

in early October making way for the work on the

new bridge to begin

Cullen Parkway – Phase II

• November 1st – Meeting with West Lea property

owners

• Moving forward with final parcels for acquisition

Bailey Road

• Held Pre-construction conference on October 15th

• Conducted construction coordination meeting with

the CR 59 contractor

• CPE Gas completed relocation of 6” gas main

• Comcast has completed their facility relocations

• CenterPoint Electric poles are still encroaching ROW

and need relocation; relocation design has been

initiated

Business Center Drive

• Broadway/Main Street intersection – New signals cannot be turned on until the northbound

lanes have been poured between FM 518 and Jasmine

• Bridge work continuing – Work is about to begin on the final segments of the Town

Ditch and Hickory Slough bridges once drainage outfalls have been completed

• Drainage – Drainage trunks and laterals now complete at Clear Creek

and the subgrade ready for excavation

SH35 – BW8 to FM518

• TxDOT Area Office has approved the City’s plans for modifications to the Crossing for the Quiet Zone

• BNSF has agreed to replace and extend the crossing panels on FM 518 at no charge to the City

• Railroad has begun work to replace ties beneath the tracks throughout the Pearland area

• Haddock Construction completed Phase I of slope paving

• Clearing & excavation underway between CR100 & CR101

• Bids on slope paving and hauling by BDD4 are higher than previous estimates

• Base on estimates for Phase II & III of slope paving the City’s share per the Interlocal Agreement could exceed budget

Cowart Creek Diversion

Pump Station

• Wet well completed

• Pond pump down operations completed

• Pilot channel installation completed

• BorTunCo began jack and bore operations for 60” from the wet well to pond

Re-grading of Roadside Ditches

• Consultant submitted 60% plans

• Plan set review will be followed by a meeting with City staff to review the design

• Met with TxDOT’s Permit coordinator to discuss easements, and requirements for the installation of the waterline at SH 288 and at Cullen

• Met with Kinder-Morgan Pipeline Co. to discuss the alignment of the waterline and its proximity to the existing pipelines, there are no apparent conflicts

• Geotechnical work has begun
