Inviting students to join the first ever CBSE – Intel AI- Thon
CBSE in collaboration with Intel, is hosting a five day deep dive hands-on workshop: AI-THON for
students from 15th July 2019 (Monday) to 19th July 2019 (Friday) at Stepping Stones Sr. Sec.
School - Sector 37 D, Chandigarh.
The details about this first ever AI-Thon are at Annexure A.

CBSE – Intel AI-THON 15 – 19 July 2019, Chandigarh
Inviting students to join the first ever CBSE – Intel AI- Thon
CBSE in collaboration with Intel, is hosting a five day deep dive hands on workshop: AI-THON for students.
The full day workshop aims to introduce students to the basics of AI and taking them through the complete journey
concluding with converting ideas to projects. This is in sync with the inclusion of AI as a subject by CBSE from the
current academic year.
During the AI-THON, students will attend sessions on following topics
Computer Vision
Data collection
Natural Language Processing
Privacy
Diversity
Accountability
AI ethics
Creating real time projects
The key objective is to enable and empower students with AI skills and use them to find solutions to the problems
faced by the community related to climate change, food security health, sanitation etc. and become AI ready.
AI- THON DETAILS
Dates: Monday 15 to Friday 19 July, 2019
Venue: Stepping Stones Sr. Sec. School - Sector 37 D, Chandigarh, India 160036
Workshop duration: 9 am to 5 pm (everyday)
Online Registrations: interested students to register online through the link/ CBSE website
Last date to register: Saturday, 13 July, 2019
Organizers will provide training content and refreshments during the workshop
Any other expenses etc. to be taken care of by participants - students/schools
Eligibility criteria’s for AI THON
Any student from CBSE Schools classes 8 to 12 is eligible to participate
Schools can send/ register a maximum of five students for the AI THON
Prior knowledge of Python and higher proficiency in Mathematics will be of help along with an interest in
learning/ mastering AI and its application
Students with experience of making AI related projects would be given a priority
The workshop is on a first come first served bases and has only 50 seats
Decision of the organizers will be final
