Hello and Welcome to the September/October edition of the Devils Direct Members Newsletter.

As most of you would be aware our previous General Manager Clint Williams has moved on to greener pastures up to the Cowboys Leagues Club. On behalf of the Board of Directors and all staff members at the Norths Devils, I would

like to extend my congratulations and wish Clint all the success in his future endeavours.

In regards to my appointment, I would like to say that I am really excited about my new role as General Manager. Most of you would already know me, but I look forward to growing my relationship with all of the Norths Devils members and visitors.

I have great pleasure in announcing our recent success in the Local Quest Business Achiever Awards. The club took out the much coveted ‘Clubs, Pubs and Entertainment’ category for the first time. I would firstly like to thank you, the patrons, because if not for you, awards like this would not be possible. I would also like to thank our hard working staff for contributing to this award. This win was a major achievement for Norths Devils and we should all be proud.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that our website is up and running with many great new features. When you get a spare moment please logon to northsdevils.com and check out the different vouchers and information that can be downloaded.

I remind all members that renewals are due before the 30th of September so don’t forget to renew and be eligible for a range of different offers through our Members Rewards Calendar.

She is that friendly face that greets you as you walk into the Club, pours your favourite beer or says hello when she is conducting your favourite Gaming Promotion. Kimberley enjoys working at the Devils as she likes meeting new people and loves the people she works with. Kimberley’s customer service motto is ‘make them smile and I have done my job’. Besides working at the mighty Devils she enjoys going to the movies, shopping, painting and cooking. So if you see Kimberly around the Club make sure you congratulate her.

Congratulations PatrickPatrick has been working at the Mighty Norths Devils for 2 years. He has worked his way through as a Kitchen Hand in our Legends Restaurant & Grill and is now working in our Sports

Bar. Patrick likes working here at the Devils as he thinks they are a good group of people. Patrick has shown great customer service ability throughout the Club as he likes to make people happy. So if you see Patrick in the Kitchen or pouring your favourite beer, be sure to congratulate him.

Footy Update

Finals time is almost upon us and if you have played the

game you always want to be still playing in September.

Unfortunately a fall from grace for our Intrust Super Cup

team (Grand Finalists in 2010) will see the boys take an

early shower without any finals football but the good

news for Devils fans is that both lower grades will be

playing September football.

The Fogs A Grade will finish Minor Premiers and the Colts

team will complete the season rounds in second place.

Both are very well placed to be a real chance to add to

the Devils trophy cabinet. The Devils have a wonder-

ful history of premiership success particularly through

the ‘Glory Years’ of the 1960s when the legendary Bob

Bax won an incredible 7 First Grade Competitions in the

decade. The 1961 Premiers, 50th Anniversary, will be

honoured at the Devils annual Players Reunion at the end

of this month, along with the 40th Anniversary of the

Reserve Grade and Third Grade Teams that were suc-

cessful in 1971.

Coach Gary O’Brien has done a terrific job in transitioning

the young Colts into Senior football and they are a well

organised team that will compete strongly for the

title. The Devils future looks bright with the emergence

of this talented group including Jayden Sheck, Trent

Richardson, Joel Bailey, Zach Koikta and Tristan Lumley.

Congratulations also to Fogs A Grade Coach, Don Gailer

for winning the Minor premiership with the team, which

will be bolstered by a couple of current Q Cup players

who will qualify once their Cup season concludes.

The Club wishes all players and coaches the very best for

the finals series and encourages Devils fans to support

the boys whenever possible.
