Cinco (en Tres) de Mayo If you only make plans to attend one Realtor event this year - make it the annual Cinco de Mayo RPAC fundraiser, LCBR’s premier party of the year! This year the event will be held on Thursday, May 3rd from 5 – 7:30 at the Preserve Subdivision clubhouse and pool on CR 252-B in Lake City. There will be live entertainment featuring Matt Johns, Mexican food, margaritas and other adult beverages plus a silent auction with proceeds benefitting the Florida Realtors Political Action Committee. Last call for bids at 6:45. Bidding ends at 7:00 SHARP.

This year’s auction items almost double the items of the past two years and a great selection of must have objects!

New Realtor Orientation

Lisa Hicks explains the MLS to 25 new agents and brokers at the April 19 Orientation.

Twenty four new members attended our first classroom style orientation in many years. With membership on the rise again, leadership felt it was time to revert to a classroom setting.

Attendees were informed about the Realtor organization, anti-trust, tools of the trade, Pathways to Professionalism, how to keep your broker out of jail, Fair Housing, the MLS and lastly, how to get and stay involved.

As an added bonus, Ron Starling of Hometown Mortgage Services LLC, treated the attendees to a pizza lunch at the conclusion of the class.
