There are many resources to help you track down the owner of a lost pet. Please try a few of these first before abandoning the pet to a shelter or back on the street! A loving owner may be worried sick about their loss – let’s do everything we can to help them reunite with their beloved pet. On foot/phone: Go to any vet office and have the animal scanned for a microchip - including cats Check vet offices in the area the pet was found Post flyers in the area the pet was found – if you are worried about a “fake” owner
