Congratulations Bhakti to 1SM & Alyssa 2MA for winning the Healthy Eating Award for last week.

Well done to Lauren PEV for handing in money she found in the yard.

Please let Pauline or the office know if you know of someone in our school community that we should acknowledge.

Can you work out what word the signs below are spelling out? (answer will be in next weeks newsletter)

If your child has lost a pair of glasses, we have the ones pictured opposite in the office.

Year 3-4 District Basketball

On Wednesday August 22nd, 42 very excited students from year 3 and 4 left EVPS to compete at the Hoop

Basketball Tournament. We had six mixed teams entered. Four teams as Future Stars and two teams as Rookies. It was a fabulous day with all teams playing an excellent brand of basketball. Our Future Stars team coached by

Ben (ex student of EVPS) made it straight through to the Grand Final undefeated and won the final quite convincingly. The day was a huge success for all involved and we were well supported by a number of parents and staff from EVPS. A huge thank you to the following people who without their support would not have made it such a wonderful day for our students;

The coaches: Ben (Deb’s son who works in our office), Nathan (4NW teacher), Gerrard (maintenance at EVPS), Jarryd (volunteer), Teresa (PST) and Caitlin (PST). To our wonderful scorers on the bench; Alisa, Parent of Nevzat 4AM, Emma, Parent of Chloe 4MC and Ruth, Parent of Charlie 4PM, Emily (PST) and Gerard’s lovely wife Bridey. We had a large number of parents attend on the day and support our students which was great to see. Finally to all of our EVPS students who represented the school so proudly and worked hard all day, encouraging each other and living by the school values at all times.

Year 6 Swimming Program
