customers and employees feel good, but as a result of this
acquisition customers will have more services choices in
more countries. They will also have their choice of
technology, including an ERP system such as SAP or
Oracle PeopleSoft, a NorthgateArinso system, such as its
SAP-based euHReka platform, or a SaaS solution, with or
without BPO.

business. This deal […] looks, well considered and low-risk:
Northgate-Arinso already has an internal network and is well
used to managing far-flung subsidiaries, and the company has
already built an experienced and all-American leadership for
the Americas. […] But most of all this is a deal that is built in
financial terms on cost synergies, not on revenue
synergies. […] That sounds right to us: revenue synergies
should be the icing on the cake, not the cake itself. So, overall,
this looks a good deal for both NorthgateArinso and the
existing Convergys HR outsourcing customers. Of course,
much will depends on the execution, but the model and
rationale of the deal looks strong.
