Newsletter: Term 1, Week 3, 28th February 2020 Kia Ora Koutou Beginning of term activities make for a busy time balancing dates on calendars for all of us; we include key dates in our newsletters. The hot dry summer doesn’t seem to be slowing down and with drought conditions water will become very precious over the next month. Classes are settling into routines including enjoying a swim every day in our pool. Yesterday was another amazing day for our School Swimming Sports. I was very impressed with the organisation and how the day ran, thank you Mr Higgison! The tamariki all enjoyed their day, with many taking the opportunity to push their boundaries. Congratulations to those swimmers who qualified to compete at the Zone Swimming Sports with Parua Bay on the 10 th of March. We are excited to be hosting this event, which will be an opportunity to showcase our new facilities. Great to hear all the positive comments from parents about our new swimming complex, and how the day was run. A special thanks to Greg Ferrar, our caretaker for preparing the pool. Aubrey won with the most House points and the parents/teachers bet the children in an exciting relay race.
