Labour Day Public Holiday This Monday, 3 March is a Public Holiday and, of course, school will not be open on this day. Next Assembly Our next Assembly will be held on Friday 6 March. The assembly will be presented by Miss Di Fonzo’s Class. It is great to have morning tea available at our assemblies for those who like their “nine o’clock cuppa”. Thank you to the P&C for this valuable extra. P&C Meeting On Monday 16 February I would like to very much thank all those parents who attended the P&C Annual General Meeting two weeks ago. It was great to have so many people. There is a lot planned for 2015 - much of which is very valuable fundraising for the school as well as lots of fun activities for families. The P&C raises between twenty and thirty thousand dollars every year - a very significant amount. As I have said before (and I will probably say again!) that Bull Creek Primary School would be in the “top quarter” of best resourced schools in Western Australia and the P& C has made that difference. School Canteen We are very fortunate to have a Canteen open three days a week. Increasingly, primary schools are reducing the number of Canteen days or their Canteens are ceasing to operate. So, well done to our P&C and our Canteen Manager Phillipa Spence for providing us with an excellent Canteen. I encourage everyone to support our Canteen whenever possible.

Upcoming Swimming Lessons Swimming Lessons are in Weeks 6 & 7, Monday 9th March to the 20th March. PLEASE RETURN your child’s swimming form by Friday 6th March if you have not done so already. Please note that the Swimming Lessons are for nine days only as the Faction Swimming Carnival is on the Thursday 19th March and there will be no swimming lessons that day.

Free Swimming Training 2015!Free Swimming Training 2015!Free Swimming Training 2015! Children who are in Years 4 to 6, are at Swimming Level 5 or higher, who are keen to improve their swimming skills and may represent our school at the SCISA Interschool Swimming Carnival on the 26th of March are encouraged to attend these free training sessions.

Mr Pascoe and I will be running the sessions as a way of building skills, stamina and strength for our faction carnival and interschool swimming carnival team Sessions will be on the: Tuesday 3rd March Tuesday 10th March Tuesday 17th March

We will start at 7.15am and finish at 8.00am. The venue is at Definition H2O Health Club, Bull Creek on Wheatley Drive. Any children who are not being picked up after the session will be walked to school by me.

SCHOOL PHOTO DAY IS COMING!

Dear Parents,

Our school photo day is coming! Approximately two weeks prior to the

photo day every student will receive a Kapture Photography order

envelope to bring home. The recommended method of ordering your

photos is online through Kapture’s website as your payment is secure and can be easily verified at any

$me. Alterna$vely you can pay by cash or cheque and return the provided envelope to the school on

the photography day. If you place your order online please DO NOT return your envelope to school.

Any parent who forgets or is unable to supply their envelope on the photo day will have five (5) days

to complete an order online. Late payment envelopes cannot be accepted by the school office or by

Kapture.

You also have the op$on to order a sibling photo package online, however please be aware there may

be a limited number of sibling orders that can be placed due to $me constraints on photo day. We

suggest you place your online sibling order as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Kapture offer a money back guarantee for any parent who is not fully sa$sfied with their photo

package. Should you have any queries before or a/er photo day, please direct them to the Kapture

office on 9240 1714 or email [email protected].

All students will be photographed individually on photo day for school administra�on records AS WELL

as included in their class group photo available for purchase to all families. Should there be any reason

why your child should NOT be included in the photo shoot –please contact the school office.

Hi everyone,

I would like to introduce myself to all the new families to the school this year.

My name is Phillipa and I manage the school canteen.

The canteen is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Please place your orders at the

canteen window before school on those days. If you do not have a menu you can find

one on the school website or I have some copies at the canteen. I am sure you will find

something on there to suit a variety of children's tastes.

I would like to thank everyone who supported the canteen and placed an order for the

recent Friday the 13th themed canteen day. The jelly cups and cupcakes disappeared

in a flash. I will be doing more of these over the year and will send notes home with

the children advising parents of them.

As you are all aware school swimming lessons commence on Monday the 9th of

March. There are three classes that arrive back at school over lunch (W7, W8 and S6).

For those, and anyone wishing to place a lunch order during those two weeks, I will

also have for sale party pies and sausage rolls available every day.

If you order a sausage roll and juice box or 3 party pies and a juice box it will cost

$4.00 instead of the normal $4.50.

I would also like to thank the volunteers I currently have on my roster for this term. I

will be looking for some more help for next term so please come and see me and fill

one of my spots. Your children love to see their parents around the school during

school $me.
