Newsletter: Holi celebration
GMIS celebrated the festival on Holi on the 20th of March 2019.
Outdoor Fun
The celebrations kick started with sharing of sweets / savouries for a group of
8-10 kids from their respective grades so that they could relish ensemble the
delicacies of the Holi festival. The children were kind enough to provide snacks for
their homeroom tutors and specialist teachers. This gesture was highly appreciated
by one and all.
The second half of the celebration was the “outdoor” play with colours and this was
the most enjoyable part of the event. Children, parents, teachers flocked together
in the outdoor area and applied a bountiful of colours to each other. The icing on
the cake was the usage of organic colours (wheat flour) so that the safety of
children who are allergic to colours could be taken into consideration as well.
While playing with colours, everyone also danced to the Hindi tunes of Holi which was
being played loud enough at the playground so that everyone outdoor could rejoice.
Wonderful and memorable photographs were taken from the event which can be
found here and also on SISAR.
Committed to Memory
The Students learnt that we are made up of are different colours butwe originate
from the same hue. There is no social barrier of economics, religion etc. This has a
major indication; the indication of being one and united. It sends out a message that
we all are equal.
