NEWSLETTER Spring Term Pt 2—February 2020—Issue 10

Countdown to Easter

We’ve had a great start to 2020. Our

January starters have joined in seamlessly

and the children are all busy exploring,

learning and having fun!

Please note that we will close at 3pm on

Thursday 2nd April for the Easter Holidays.

Preschool will reopen on Monday 20th April.

Important Dates and Information

our closed FB group page, please join us if

you haven’t already done so.

Theme

This half term we will be talking about our

some of our children’s fascinations. Have a

look at the end of the newsletter for more

details.

Library / Parent Stay and Play

On Thursday 26th March, all the preschools in

Princes Risborough will be closed for the

afternoon. We are working together in

partnership to provide a ‘stay and play’

session at the local library that will give you

some fantastic ideas for activities you can

play with your child at home! We are really

excited to be part of this initiative and hope

that you will come along with your child to

support us and join in the fun. We apologise

for the additional inset afternoon (this is an

additional date, so please make a note of

this in your diaries), but we hope you will be

able to join us at the library. A separate flyer

will be placed in your childs tray soon.

World Book Day

This year World Book Day is on

Thursday 5th March. Preschool

c h i l d r e n a r e

w e l c o m e t o

c o m e t o

preschool dressed in fancy

dress or in their pyjamas. If you

would like to make a donation

(suggested £1), this is towards

funds for our new garden

extension. Children can also

bring in their favourite book during week

commencing 2nd March. Please just

remember to label EVERYTHING!

Stay and Play

Week Commencing 16th March 2020

We would like to invite parents / carers to

come and play during this week.

Week Commencing 15th June 2020

We would like to invite all male carers to

come and play at preschool during this

week.

Either stay with your child at drop off or pop

in during the morning - stay all morning or just

for half an hour - it's up to you!

We always welcome parents and carers to

spend time with their child at preschool - if

you can't make the dates above, just let us

know which day suits you and you can come

in another time (please can we ask that if

your child is in the process of settling in to

preschool, that you wait until they are more

confident with the preschool routine).

We would like to take this

opportunity to thank you all

for your continued support.

We have been so lucky to have parents

come in to visit us this half term to talk to us

about their occupations. It has been a

wonderful learning experience for the

children. Thank you so much for giving your

time, we really appreciate all that you do!

Thank you also for the amazing variety of

fruits that you bring in every day—the

children are offered a lovely selection at

every snack time– we are

very lucky!

Polite Reminder

Please can we remind you

not to walk through any of the school car

parks at drop off or pick up times. This is for

the safety of all members of the school

community.

Garden Extension

We are hoping to extend the

fencing around the front garden to include

the adjacent grassed area. This will mean

that the children will have more outdoor

space to run around in and of course

another beautiful tree to hug! We will need

to raise funds in order to cover the cost of

the fence (we are currently getting quotes)

so if you can think of ways to help with this

project please do let us know.
