Bible: We finished our unit on Abrahamand Sarah. This fit in nicely with the
theme of pilgrims for Thanksgiving time.
We talked about their wanderings and then
the many promises God gave to them.
Bible Memory: Luke 2:8-11Due: 12/21
Math:* Measuring with rulers and tapes
* Feet and Inches
* Telling Time to the Quarter-Hour
Language Arts:Phonics Skill: l and s syllables
Sight words: puedo, voy, ahora
Language Concept: past tense, infinitiveverbs
Theme: Our theme this week was on
growing and changing. Our main selection
focused on different stages of life and
what children could do then. We practiced
past tense constructions and used those to
say what children could or could not do.
REMINDERS:
* Our class could use some more snacks.
* I will be happy to keep any Scholastic
orders as secret gifts for your child.
Just let me know.
Upcoming Events:
Dec. 4 Christmas Program, 9am
Dec. 7 Christmas Program, 7pmDec. 7 Scholastic orders due
Dec. 21 Christmas party
De la Seora:Its beginning to look a lot like
Christmas! The class is very excited
about their upcoming program. On
Tuesday during chapel time (9:00am) we
will have a dress rehearsal. Please have
your child dress up on Tuesday. Family
and friends are welcome to attend.
Then on Friday at 7:00pm we have the
program. Please again have your child
dress up. I also regret to inform you
that we will not be doing the cookie
fellowship time. We now have over 120
students in PreK-2 and then with
families there is no space large enough
inside to accommodate everyone
comfortably. There will be no need to
send cookies to school on that day.
Your child should be at school on Friday
at 6:40pm and then picked up in the
room at the end. Looking forward to
seeing you all then!
