ParentingA well-organized and Thought Provoking

Workshop was conducted for the parents of

Pre Primary up to Std XII at Atmiya Vidyapeeth, thGandhidham on 24 March 2018 by Mr.Scaria

Thomas – Principal, a CBSE certied Resource

Person. The aim of the workshop was to

sensitize the participants of the importance of

Positive Parenting in the current era and to

motivate the parents to create a positive

family atmosphere, believe in the concept of

listening to their wards and to effectively meet

up to any parenting challenge in today’s

modern world.

Atmiya Vidyapeeth had organized A CAREER

COUNSELLING PROGRAM for students of Std. thX and XII on 16 August, 2018.The objective of

the programmed was to make the students

aware of the academic aspects of the course,

the rules and regulations of the Institute and

ensuring Parental Participation in monitoring

the performance and progress of the students.

It gave them an opportunity to learn

innovative methods and techniques to go

through the subject and get better results.

School Competition on DPSMUN (Model

United Nation) wherein students of different

schools had participated and presented

themselves as members of LokSabha, Rajya

Sabha, President and Prime Ministers of

different countries and organizations. Thirteen

students from Atmiya Vidyapeeth had

participated and they received Appreciation

Certicate. Swikrity Shrivastav from Std X got

special appreciation award for her active

performance.

All India Wado Kai Karate Do Association had organized than Open Kutch District Karate Championship on 12

August 2018 and students of our school had brought laurel

by winning 5 GOLD, 8 SILVER & 7 BRONZE MEDALS and

were appreciated with trophies and certicates.

The school maintains an excellent record in its

sporting pursuits and work of excellence is

recognized. Subroto Mukherjee Football Cup

was organized at District Level wherein 22

teams had participated from all over Kutch

region and the Team of Atmiya Vidyapeeth had

grabbed First Position in U-14 and U-17

category for the last three consecutive years

and making a Hattrick. All the members of the

team are selected for the State Level. The

students were trained and guided under the

effective and dynamic leadership of our Coach

Mr. Nilesh Patel, Mr. Dhanshankar Shetty and

Mr. Saurabh Rana.

International Yoga Day

Atmiya Vidyapeeth celebrated Fourth International

Yoga Day on June 21, 2018 in its campus with the

theme "Yoga for Harmony and Peace”. The school

organized a plethora of activities for students

ranging from Asanas, Pranayam to Suryanamaskar.

Our Yoga practitioner Mr. Nilesh Patel and Mr.

Shanker Shetty demonstrated various Yogaasanas.

Gandhi. More than 700 students along with the teachers participated in

this rally. The rally was attended by Guest of Honour Mr. Dinesh Gupta,

president, Chamber of Commerce, Mrs. Geetaben Ahir, President, Taluka

Panchayat, Mr. Kanjibhai Bharya, President, Municipality, Mr. Madhukant

Bhai Shah, Ex Chairman, GDA, Mrs. Geeta Acharya, Preseident,

Municipality, Mrs. Maltiben Maheshwari, MLA along with our dignitaries.

INVESTITURECEREMONY

THOn 13 July 2018, there was a wave of pride and

responsibility in the campus of Atmiya Vidyapeeth

as Investiture Ceremony was organized on that

day. The students as well as the teachers cast their

votes online through Electronic Voting System. It

was a solemn occasion where the newly elected

Council Members were all prepared to don the

mantle of leadership and discharge the

responsibilities entrusted upon them by the school.

Measles and Rubella was

initiative taken by Government of India to make our country disease free

of Measles and Rubella and Atmiya Vidyapeeth always a step ahead for

the implementation of such initiatives.

Medical Check UpstA Medical Check Up, was organized in Atmiya Vidyapeeth on 01

February, 2019 from classes I to VIII. It was an initiative taken by Dr.

Bhavin Thacker to make every student free from common disease and

INTER HOUSE GROUP DISCUSSION

COMPETITION

An Inter House Group Discussion Competition was organized to enhance the communication skills and leadership quality of students of Atmiya Vidyapeeth. There were two groups, Junior Group (Class VI to VIII) with the Topic, “Intelligence v/s Wisdom” and Senior Group (Class IX to XII) with the Topic “Is Fifth Estate Media: Working for Nation or for oneself”. The best performing students were selected for the Final round and the Topics for the nal round were “Money Buys Everything” for Group 1 and “Blood for Blood: Is It the Right Policy”For Group 2.

ANNUALFUNCTIONOn 2nd November 2018, our school Atmiya Vidyapeeth had celebrated its magnicent and reverberating 14th Annual Day entitled as "Atmiyans Raise Voice against Social Evils” with great zest, vibrancy and elation.

FUNCTIONthAnnual function is the most important event in the school calendar. On 12 January 2019, Atmiya Kids had

celebrated its magnicent and reverberating Annual Day Celebration entitled as “Journey and dream of

Atmiya kids into a wonderful and enthusiastic world!!!!!” with great zest, vibrancy and elation. The

theme was betted with the thought to showcase the dreams of tiny tots.

 Inter School On the SpotDrawing & Group SongCompetition

Atmiya Vidyapeeth has set the benchmark for conducting activities in such a way that the students not only enjoy but also learn a great deal from it. With the same perspective in view, the school had organized an Inter School on the Spot Drawing & Group Song Competition for the students of Std V to IX. The topics for Drawing were“My favourite Cartoon, My Dream & Nature” and the theme for Group Song was“Folk Songs of India.” Many Schools of Gandhidham had Actively Participated in this Competition.The judges for the Drawing Competition were Mr. Sudhir Mullakkara, prominent artist and Mrs. Ruchita Thadani, Owner of Kabhi Bhi and a prominent artist. The judges for Group Song Competition were Mr. Kaushal Chhaya, eminent musician and MS. Shehnaz Sheikh, well known singer of Gandhidham. They were deeply engrossed in the ideas, creativity and over all presentation of the students.

Atmiya Vidyapeeth had organ ized an In ter S c h o o l B a s k e t b a l l Tournament for U-16 B o y s t o p r o v i d e a platform to students to showcase their inner strength and talents in the sports eld.

A total of nine schools had participated from Gandhidham, Adipur, Bhuj and Mundra including Mt. Carmel, St.Xaviers, Doon Public School, Swaminarayan School, Gurukul School, KPS the home school Atmiya Vidyapeeth.

The referees for the Competition were Mr. Laal Ajariya, Mr.Devendra Singh Rathod, Mr.Hussain, Mr. Ganesh Patel. Mr. Shahshikant Choudhary and Mr. Nilesh Patel. They were deeply engrossed with the sportsmanship, swiftness and strength of the students. The winner of the tournament was Atmiya Vidyapeeth who had beaten Mt. Carmel School in the nal round with the score of 5-0.
