Welcome to Clipsal’s New Product Bulletin. This year has again seen signifi cant investment in innovation impacting functionality, technology and design.

As you look through this Bulletin it seems that almost nothing remains the same. In an industry impacted by rapid changes in technology, and ever increasing demands from all segments of the market, innovation has become the norm.

Impress – Evolutionary Push-button Technology

During 2008, Clipsal redefi ned the wall switch, with the introduction of the new Impress 30PB Push-Button Switch. This groundbreaking new product takes a new innovative approach, to the way we look at switches. Using modern technology, the 30PB incorporates a smooth push button mechanism and provides an alternative to the traditional rocker switch.

Available as standard in Slimline and Eclipse switch plates, the Impress Push-Button Mechanism is also designed to easily fi t into all standard Clipsal wall plates including the 2000 Series, C2000 Series and Metal Plates.

Clipsal’s Living Innovation XP08

First of all, thank you to everyone who supported Clipsal’s Living Innovations XP08, earlier this year. We were overwhelmed with the huge success of the event, nationwide, which saw a remarkable turnout, and had attendance numbers pushing 7,000 guests overall.

The driving force behind this year’s exclusive Clipsal XP08 was product innovation; presenting electrical contractors, wholesalers, builders and specifi ers around the country with an impressive showcase of our latest innovations in product and solutions. Using informative and interactive displays, XP08 demonstrated how Clipsal products are meeting the ever-changing requirements of all market segments, including commercial, residential and industrial.

New Saturn Accessories

During 2008, the demand for Clipsal’s Saturn range of 250V electrical accessories far exceeded anyone’s expectations.This success encouraged us to further expand the Saturn range, with the release of four new products including cooker switches, data outlets, dimmers and 250V sockets.

Now, it is even easier for our customers to achieve a co-ordinated look throughout their entire home or offi ce.

And there’s more….

It doesn’t stop at that, with new dimmers, additions to the C-Bus range, MATV, new PDL Thermal Trip socket outlets, Moduline Pop-up outlets, and Audio. It goes on and on. Even the Metal Clad range gets a face-lift!

The modern design of the CEF40 reduces dust build-up by 80%, compared to traditional exhaust fans.Particular attention has also been paid to ensure the CEF40 is the easiest ducted exhaust fan to install on the market. With a circular mounting hole the CEF40 is much easier to prepare than a square or rectangular cut out used for other fans.

Clipsal have really covered all bases with the introduction of the new C-Bus Avanti Wall Switch Range. Clipsal’s Avanti Switches are C-Bus programmable and incorporate a unique ‘long throw’ switch action.

The C-Bus Version 4 HomeGate and Schedule Plus

software have both been developed on brand new platforms, offering a host of new features as well as enhanced program security; available in two and ten network licence confi guration (HomeGate) and in two, ten and unlimited network licence confi guration (Schedule Plus).

From Version 4 of this software, the use of a hardware protection key (dongle) is required. The USB dongle will ‘unlock’ the software installed on only one PC. Without this USB dongle, the software will operate in demonstration mode. Note: A C-Gate dongle cannot be used for this purpose. Version 4 is not a ‘free’ upgrade from Version 3 software releases. Why upgrade to the new 30FFPFMS? With the growing acceptance of digital TV, Clipsal has released a new PAL to F-Type TV socket mechanism. This specially designed product provides greater resistance to electrical interference and improves return loss performance by a minimum of 1dB over previous products.

The straight through design of this product allows for interference free digital TV reception. The new 30FFPFMS does not have a capacitor and supports ‘power pass’ making it suitable for StarServe IR applications and ‘remote powering’ of master head amplifi ers.

*All current pre-confi gured wall plates that have the 30TV75MF will change to the 30FFPFMS.
