Saving energy means reducing the amount of energy used in order to reach the same result at the end use. There many advantages in using less energy – you can save money and help our environment. The energy production requires precious natural resources as the charcoal, oil or the natural gas. Using less energy may help us to preserve these natural resources and use them even in the future.

All of us – the board of directors of our company – are proud of the NanoCoat product which is produced using the nanotechnology. The nanotechnology ensures that your home, workplace, facility or the production premises or any other place holds a perfect temperature, optimal climate at low heating or cooling costs. Our success is even more precious as NanoCoat creates healthy environment for all the people and also for our future – our children.

The NanoCoat is aimed to be used in the living areas but it can be used also within the industry. Our goal is to have NanoCoat applied on the water piping which transport hot water from the heating plant.

The NanoCoat is to be used in the cooling facilities where it reduces the energy consumption needed for cooling, either the food or the medicaments, or any other products which require cold environment. The NanoCoat can be applied in many other possibilities. Our development and testing make progress very quickly and we gradually learn new things about he further use of this material with thermal insulation.

We believe that there is a need to discuss about the energy saving in an open, expert discussion based on facts and arguments. Globally, it is one of the most important things, which needs to be discussed.

There are many ways how to save energy, or the energy sources. We have come up with the way of energy saving within the construction sector and also the cooling area. We are sure you will get interested in our products and that you want to become a part of the worldwide energy saving with the NanoCoat from Helske company.

We would like to wish you a lot of success and a good health as it is the core of everything. The NanoCoat material is the perfect choice for creating your healthy environment.

Penguins can survive up to -100°C thanks to a fat layer thick several centimetres. Helske insulation is even more airy and effective even at one millimetre.

Polar bear is a unique creature. It leaves in the coldest places of the Earth. The bear´s fur is thick only 5 cm and its hair reflect the infrared light.

Straw is a traditional insulation material which has been used within the construction for centuries. Helske products, unlike the straw, are non-flammable and durable.

It is an expression used by Baruch Spinoza for the “created nature“, that is the world of single substances. Helske continues in a principle of substances interconnected with the nature, part of which our plaster is.

The oldest plasters were found in Mesopotamia. Sumerians used lime, clay and sand to decorate the walls and floors.

The people in Jordan approxi-mately 7200 BC used lime mixed with unheated crushed limestone and the plaster on a large scale for covering walls, floors, and hearths.

In ancient NW India people used marble plaster called Kurra. It is a mixture of lime and finely ground marble where paste made of lime putty and marble dust is applied in several layers on the walls and floors and then polished with the smooth stone.

Similar process is used in Africa and their plaster is called Tadelakt.

In ancient China, renders in clay and gypsum plasters were used to produce a smooth surface over rough stone or mud brick walls.

In early Egyptian tombs, walls were coated with lime and gypsum plaster and the finished surface was often painted or decorated.

Greeks took recipe from Egyptians and they improved it. Greeks philosopher and Historian Theophrast (372-287 B.C.) Precisely described fabrication and application of plaster.

The Romans used mixtures of lime and sand to build up pre-paratory layers over which fin-er applications of gypsum, lime, sand and marble dust were made. Pozzolanic materials were some-times added to produce a more rapid set.

Around the 4th century BC, the Romans discovered Roman Concrete - the principles of the hydraulic set of lime, which by the addition of highly reactive forms of silica and alumina, such as vol-canic earths, could solidify rapidly, even under water.

Plaster decoration was widely used in Europe in the middle Ages

where, from the mid 13th centu-ry, gypsum was used for internal and external plaster. Animal hair was employed as reinforcement, with additives to assist set or plas-ticity including malt, beer, milk and animal blood.

In the 14th century in Europe they used decorative trawled plaster.

In the mid-15th century, Venetian skilled workers developed a new type of external facing, called Marmorino Veneziano.

In the 16th century, stuccoists working in Bavaria invented a new highly decorative type of decora-tive internal plasterwork, called

Scagliola. This was composed of gypsum plaster, animal glue and pigments. Sand or marble dusts, and lime, were sometimes added.

In this same century, the Sgraffitto technique, also known as Italian artists introduced graffi-to or scratch work into Germany, combining it with modelled stuc-co decoration. This technique was practiced in antiquity and was de-scribed by Vasari as being a quick and durable method for decorating building facades.

The 17th century saw the intro-duction of different types of inte-rior plasterwork. That period was golden age for Scagliola artists

(Mostly Italian Monks) broad this type of plaster till perfection.

At the beginning of 20th cen-tury the plaster gradually replac-es the lime as the binder for the sand in the plastering mortar. The time of hardening can be regulated which enables us to apply the plas-ter within several hours.

It took usually days to weeks when applying the lime plaster. The time became an important factor of the further develop-ment of this sector.

Over the past 100 years we have witnessed a series of inventions and improvements which helped

to change the plasters into modern materials. The Portland cement was invented byy Joseph Aspdin, a mason from Leeds in England in 1824. Keanes Cement, slow set-ting but extremely hard plaster was invented by R.W. Keane in England in 1841.

The drywall or the plasterboard was first produced in England in 1890. Since the beginning of the 20th century it has undergone a development to reach its present version. The gradual development has changed the whole industry.

Implementation of the synthet-ic modifications in 1960 meant a revolution in sheathing.

The external insulation and the sheathing system brought im-provement in insulation values with low building maintenance costs.

The modern Helske system combines the historical ap-proaches and the modern tech-nologies to improve mechanical, technical and visual features.

We help our plaster to open its new way by adding polymers, rare elements, colours or stucco materials to become the plas-ter of exceptionally high quality while preserving the tradition-al look and improving the resist-ance to weather conditions.

TEMPERATURE OF THE ENVIRONMENT

15-85 % - RELATIVE HUMIDITY OF THE ENVIRONMENT

The ideal room temperature is 18-21°C. The ideal relative air humidity is 45-55 %.

Air which is more humid than 60% supports the formation of moulds and microorganisms

which could then cause different reactions, allergies, asthma or respiratory infections.

Our patented technology enables us to have the thermal energy from the room pass into the plaster structures where is spreads among the molecules.

We reach even heat distribution in the plaster structure. There is better water vapour permeability into the constructions.

We are able to reach thermal comfort in rooms at lower heating costs proving healthier environment thanks to its specific features.

ELENA IRECKÁModra, Slovak Republic

My name is Petra Hybenová and I work as a deputy headmaster of the private nursery school Brantia in Spišská Nová Ves.The areas with higher moisture need quality materials so we decided for the Helske plasters to treat the walls in the room with swimming pool. As it was obvious that the plaster really worked, we decided to apply the plaster

also on the floor. The plaster with its unique features, as the equal dispersing of heat, enable our children to play on such floor.

Helske plaster has made our nursery school more pleasant environment to stay in.

My name is Mário Felber together with his wife and children live in a brick house.

There was a problem with high humidity so elimination of this humidity was our goal. So we tried Helske.

High permeability of Helske plaster enables easy transfer of water vapour into the construction so its top features helped us to eliminate the high humidity.

My name is Elena Irecká and I live in Modra, Slovakia. I live in an old historical house where already three generations had grown up. It is a big duplex house built using stones and bricks. We needed to solve the problem with masonry degradation due to the rising

humidity. We solved the problem by using the Helske plaster.

The stone walls, 90 cm wide together with the ceilings, have temperature higher by 2-3 degrees than before so we were able to improve out thermal comfort.

JAROMÍR KOVAŘÍKOlomouc, Czech Republic

My name is Baj and I live in a prefab house on the highest floor in Bratislava-Petržalka. In summer we had problems with the overheating of the ceiling and the roof of the building.

Then I heard about the Helske system. We applied HelskeCoat Home on the interior wall of the

perimeter walls and ceilings and we reached the temperature increase inside by 2°C at the lower temperature on the radiator´s thermostat.

Helske system helped us to save approximately 300 Euro every year for heating.

Hello, my name is Ján Majzel and Iive with my family in a district of Poprad called Poprad-Stráže. We live in a two-generation family house. The house was finished in 1980.

The Helske plasters offered us great solution which brought

better apparent temperature in rooms where we had applied the Helske plaster.

This solution helped us to reduce the temperature of heating units and the improvements brought 20% energy savings.

My name is Jaromír Kovařík and I am the buildings and residences care taker in Olomouc.

We manage residential and historical buildings. The wet masonry and the molds are the main reasons for the walls degradation.

Helske company came up with a patented technology of interior plaster which helped us to solve our problem.

ING. VLADIMÍR BERNARDOlomouc, Czech Republic

JAROMÍR JANDAL UND JAN VOPELKABlažejov, Czech Republic

MILENA ADLEROVÁHranice na Moravě, Czech Republic

My name is Ing. Vladimír Bernard and I am the co-owner of a residential building with 17 apartments. This building is in a phase of complete reconstruction. When I was preparing the project I chose Helske system as the best solution in term of energy

savings and also construction material costs. Firstly, we tested the plaster on the northwest interior perimeter walls and after our positive experience we decided to apply it for the whole residential building.

Our names are Jaromír Jandal and Honza Popelka and we live in a family house in Blažejov. Our family settlement is 150 years old and it was mostly built from stone. The perimeter walls are cold and humid, they are thick. We wanted to eliminate the heat leak and lower heating costs.

We decided to use Helske interior plaster. We managed to increase the temperature on wall surface by 3 degrees and reduced the wood consumption nearly by a quarter.

My name is Milena Adlerová and I run tourism business. I live in a luxury villa from 30´s of 20th century in a town of Hranice na Moravě. This villa didn´t have sufficient insulation from the bottom resulting into rising humidity in a basement and partially on the first

floor with original plaster falling off. I heard about the Helske system and this helped me to solve my long lasting problem.

The new plaster prevents the mold formation and stabilized the climate and comfort within the whole building.

LUISA ZELENKOVÁPraha, Czech Republic

My name is Alena Brechová, and I am an operating manger of a hairdresser´s in district town of Třebíč. After a long-term operation we had solve a problem with mold in the corners. We tried several detergents (Ceresit, Savo) but mold always kept appearing.

The most effective solution was the use of HelskeCoat technology. Only few days after its application the temperature in the critical areas increased by 2°C and we finally managed to win over the humidity in interior and eliminate the mold formation.

My name is David Přichistal. I live in a new house close to Prague. We used the Helske interior plaster in order to improve our living comfort.

In summer we could feel its insulating ability where thanks to the filler in the plaster the thermal

energy is distributed and partially reflected back to the area.

In winter we were able to use this feature to increase the surface temperature of ceilings so we save 110 Euro for the heating and the heating of the domestic hot water.

My name is Luisa Zelenková and I live in a housing estate in a town district Stodůlky in Prague. Our apartment building is 25 years old. The problem of the prefab buildings is that the walls are made of concrete prefabricated parts which degrade over the time and let

the heat leak which reflects into higher heating costs.

Helske plaster helped us to solve the problems and improved the apparent temperature in the rooms. The heat savings are around 30% compared to the original solution.
