Excel – An OverviewThe Excel range of structured cabling products provides you with theassurance of quality products backed up with Delta verification and a25 year system warranty, at prices that mean your budget goes thatmuch further.

The Excel brand first appeared back in 1997 with the launch ofCategory 5 cables and patch leads. Wide spread market acceptanceled to extensive product development and in January 1999 an entirerange of Excel products was launched.

Continued product development has seen Excel become one of theleading brands on the market today, with a full range of Category 5eand 6 systems, fibre optics, voice trunking & containment and a fullrange of wall and floor cabinets as detailed in this brochure.

The Excel floor standing cabinet has been re-launched with

a new look and many improved features. The new design

includes enhanced aesthetics with a metal framed smoked

safety glass front door and dark blue piping.

To assist cable management, each 800 wide Excel floor cabinet

now comes complete with vertical management panels through

which cables can be neatly routed. For further management,

low cost cable hoops can be snapped into these panels at

regular intervals.

Amongst the broad range of accessories available to suit the

rack, is a new four way roof mounted fan tray which is easily

mounted into the aperture in the roof without reducing useable

space within the rack itself.

Each rack is supplied with a glass front door, lockable side

panels, hinged lockable rear door, two sets of 19" mounting

profiles, an earthing kit and transport castors. Sizes are

available from 12u to 47u in height and 600x600, 600x800,

800x600 and 800x800 footprints.

Cabinets available from stock can be delivered free of charge

Excel Floor Standing Cabinets – 600mm

The Excel range of floor standing cabinets offer a cost-effective solution to cabling and hardware installations.

The top panel has two removable gland plates for cableentry, which can also be replaced by fan trays where forcedventilation is required. The standard configuration includes4 x adjustable 19" mounting angles, steel rear door, glassfront door, lockable quick release side panels, earth kit andfacility for mounting castors and jacking feet.

The Excel range of floor standing cabinets offer a cost-effective solution to cabling and hardware installations.

The 800 series incorporates all of the features of the 600 series with the added advantage of increased cablingroom. To enable maximum flexibility within the cabinet the 19" mounting angles are fitted to horizontal mountingchannels, which provide front and rear movement, thusenabling profiles to be easily moved. Cable management infill panels are mounted to the front 19” profiles.

Plinth Kits

Available as an option on all sizes of Excel floor cabinets. The plinth increases the overall height of the cabinet byapproximately 100mm and allows for easy cable access into thebase of the cabinet via removable trim plates at front and rear.The plinth will accept castors or jacking feet.

Roof Mount Fan Trays

These units fit into the roof section of the Excel floor standingcabinets. Supplied with mains lead CEE22 to 13 AMP Plug,consists of two or four 230V, 50Hz 38mm fans.

Rack Mount Fan Trays

19" rack mounted fan tray available with three or six 230V 50Hzfans. Supplied with mains lead CEE22 to 13 AMP plug. Neonlight fitted to the front of the panel.

3 way version – 1u x 238mm deep.

Castors / Jacking Feet

Castors can be added to the cabinet base to improvemobility. Jacking feet can be used to allow levelling onuneven floors and prevent.

Vertical Cable Management Panels

Vertical cable management panels are available for 800mmwide cabinets, they are fixed to the side of each mountingprofile and provide a method for vertical patch cordmanagement either within a single cabinet or throughout a bayof racks. For enhanced management, optional hoops can beeasily fitted at regular intervals to the panels.

Quick Fit Cable Hoops

These fit to the 19" mounting rails in any 800mm wide Excelcabinets. They offer approximately 6500sq mm of cablingspace. Can be positioned to suit individual cabling applications.
