It is very important for a cabinet, es-pecially in server configuration, to beable to support heavier and heavierloads, whilst keeping in mind the hi-gher standards of equipment.

Ending up being disadvantaged due toan admissible load which is too weakis out of the question, as is having acabinet which is going to rock whensupporting a load.

This frame, like the cabling and servercabinet version, is also used for ourHot / Cold Corridor concept speci-fically developed for Datacentersmarket.

Six years ago we tested and selected the aluminum frame for our cabinets. Back then, it was important for us to offer you a reliable solution by anticipating the integra-tion needs for the equipment of the future.

including new split side panels for the server range (see page 11). They are lighter and smallerto enable easy handling.

Handling panels with a height of 2 meters and a width of 1 or 1.20 meters can be very tricky. That’swhy we have created the GigaRack S250, which offers a new design with 2 smaller panels whichmakes them easier to manage. With this new design, two supports between the front and therear frame vertical profiles are added, providing unmatched rigidity.

On the cabling range (see page 3), we have replaced the 2 fixing hooks inside the panel by2 latches outside the panel.

This system is easier to fix as you just push the panel against the frame and fix it by using thelatches. You don’t need to lift the panel anymore to put it on the hooks.

Finally, you still have to use the key locks on the top of the panels to secure the panel lockingsystem.

An anti-fingerprint-friendly paint will be used for both ranges to avoid stains and to improvedesign.

The hot / cold containment solution prevents the mixing of hot air flow rejected by theservers and the cold air from the air conditioning system used to cool the servers.This system optimises cooling and causes the temperature between the top and bottomracks to be almost identical which, in turn, enables the servers to be used at all rack le-vels (eliminating 75% of breakdowns caused in the top third of the rack, also known ashot spots).This kind of solution allows dissipation of over 10 kW per rack, compared to 5 kW perrack when installed in conventional air-conditioned rooms.This system reduce the air conditioning system consumption between 15 or 20%
