TASK 2D – developmentFollow the steps below to complete the DEVELOPMENT of the square based pyramid. Do not show the base in your drawing. Steps 1 to 3 have been completed for you.• begin with the given vertical line.

• set your compass to the length of the outside edge of your true shape, this is the true length of the shape.

• mark this length on your vertical line.

• using the top of the line as your centre point, draw a circle with radius set to the length of this line.

• set your compass to the length of the base of your true shape.

• mark this size 4 times on the circumference of your circle.

• Complete the development by drawing faint lines from these marks to the centre of your circle and joining them up round the circumference.
