We aim for all courses to be co-designed andco-facilitated, between health professionals and people with lived experience and provided in awelcoming environment to develop skills.

The College does not have a permanent building, but rather we work across a range of communitylocations. This enables us to be flexible and deliver courses at locations that the community caneasily access.

The College is based on a partnership approach between a wide range of providers (see p32),ensuring that we offer a variety of courses so that learners can tailor their learning to them as anindividual. There is no formal referral system and the courses you choose to attend is up to you.

Courses are delivered across a variety of settings and locations. Residents of Tameside, Bury,Heywood, Middleton, Rochdale, and Stockport can attend courses, although some courses are

limited to residents of particular boroughs. Al l o f our courses are FREE of charge and details ofhow to book are provided on p30.

If you want to bring someone else along with you to a course (a carer, friend, relative etc.) that isfine, but they must enrol and register on the course as well. This is so we can keep track of thenumber of places available.

We have engaged with our local communities and partners to develop an exciting range ofcourses that we hope will support you in your health, wellbeing and recovery.

We are always looking for ways to expand our offer and provide more courses and opportunitiesfor learning. If you have an idea, or work in a local organisation who is interested in gettinginvolved, please contact the My Health My Community team on 0161 716 3396.
