There will be new pages and new things coming up when you never expect it. Updates and announcements will be notified about in the forum and also the Home Page. Bellow you can read about what music re-ally is about. The facts has been grabbed from Wikipedia.com.

Music is an art form whose medium is sound. Common elements of music are pitch (which gov-erns melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articula-tion), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike), “(art) of the Muses.”

The creation, performance, significance, and even the definition of music vary according to cul-ture and social context. Music ranges from strictly organized compositions (and their recreation in performance), through improvisational music to aleatoric forms. Music can be divided into genres and subgenres, although the dividing lines and relationships between music genres are often subtle, sometimes open to individual interpretation, and occasionally controversial. With-in “the arts,” music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and auditory art. There is also a strong connection between music and mathematics.

To many people in many cultures music is an important part of their way of life. Greek philoso-phers and ancient Indian philosophers defined music as tones ordered horizontally as melodies and vertically as harmonies. Common sayings such as “the harmony of the spheres” and “it is music to my ears” point to the notion that music is often ordered and pleasant to listen to. However, 20th-century composer John Cage thought that any sound can be music, saying, for example, “There is no noise, only sound.” Musicologist Jean-Jacques Nattiez summarizes the relativist, post-modern viewpoint: “The border between music and noise is always culturally de-fined—which implies that, even within a single society, this border does not always pass through the same place; in short, there is rarely a consensus ... By all accounts there is no single and intercultural universal concept defining what music might be.”

Exclusive

InterviewWith Chris Erik Fotland

So, Chris-Erik, what made you create a website like Music Stars? “Well i wanted to create a music site because music is what i live for. Without music i could just kill myself here and now. I guess that’s why i came up with the idea.”

Are you planing any new features for the website in 2011? “Well yeah, i’m already work-ing on some new ideas for a brand new design to come. Including adding new features too. I will soon start working on this but it’s gonna be hard since i have no staff team yet.”

Are you in need to staff members now? “Well yeah, i expect alot of people to visit my website in the nearest future, so i have to prepare a staff team ready to handle traffic and give out warnings if needed”

Will you have the website up for as long as uCoz.com exists? “Well, you never know about me, i might figure out i will close the site if there wont be alot of members registering. At this current time when the website is still facing development and is not yet fully finished. So you never now. Under this development i have only seen people visit the site not regis-tering and making an accounte yet.”

When do you think the website will get new members? “Well that part is probably the hardest one in running a website. Here it’s all about making the website comfertable for the people visiting it. You don’t want messy colors and things or else people wont like it. So the design counts alot when trying to get members. I also have to think about advertising the website on other popular websites to gain members and curious visitors.”

To move away from the website a little bit, where do you live in this world? “Well, i ac-tually live in Europe, Norway. The best country to live in actually. We are on 2th place when it comes to the best country to live in cause of the oil we get from the North Sea. I would recommend everyone going on vacation to check out Norway, we have nice people here who would help if your in trouble. Good roads to drive on, and nice landscape.

Well thanks for this nice interview Chris-Erik Fotland! We will be looking forward to see the website taking more shape. “Well thanks for letting me be in this article” No prob-lem. Next interview will be unknown but will be published in Edition two of the next magazine.

ACDC History

The death of the beloved Bon Scott affected AC/DC a lot. Losing a member was a terrible thing for AC/DC to get past. It’s speculated

that Bon Scott died swallowing his own puke. But what he did die of for sure was alcohol poison-ing, after a wild night out on clubs. He was at a later point replaced by Brian Johnson. This kind of brought the band together again after losing a beloved AC/DC member. At that point AC/DC was back on top with a new vocalist. After that day, AC/DC has been on the top again ever since. But this year, they might get into more bad times. A rumor says that Brian Johnson (Vocalist) has gotten cancer.

If this turns out to be correct, AC/DC might need a new vocalist, or might call it the end of AC/DC. Witch I bet the fans don’t want to happened. AC/DC has finished their Black Ice world tour. Go-ing on a total amount of 3 trips to Norway play-ing successful concerts. AC/DC has been awarded several times. One of them was for Angus young which was awarded as the songwriters of the year, 2010. At the last part of the article, I’m going to talk a little bit about Brian Johnson. AC/DC’s cur-rent vocalist, He was born at 5th October 1947 in Dunston, Gateshead, England. He took over the job as a vocalist in the band after that Bon Scott died in 1980. The band’s first album with Johnson as a vocalist, Back in Black, was given out later the same year and is the bands most selling album, on second place of the world’s most sold album just under Michael Jackson’s album Thriller on first place. Before Brian was included in AC/DC, he played blues/rock in the band Gordie. He is per-forming on stage in an old sixpence, and the same typical clothes that he has used since he came in the band. Brian Johnson is now gotten positive cancer, as the rumor says. At this point I’m unsure if they still play concerts around the world. I’m now finishing off this article with a hope that you as a readerhave learned something new about AC/DC and might start listening to them, and maybe become a fan of them too.

“I’m starting off to talk about one of the most popular and famous rock bands in the history of 1970-90. They went from being a band practicing in the garage to give out singles selling for millions. It’s time for a little AC/DC lesson.“

First off I’m going to talk a little about the start of the band. The brothers, Malcolm, Angus and George Young was born in Glasgow,

Scotland, but moved to Australia together with most of their family in 1963. In 1973 Malcolm Young and Angus Young formed AC/DC, and brought new band members, bassist Larry van Kriedt, vocalist Dave Evans and Colin Burgess as a drummer.

They got the idea of the name AC/DC after see-ing it written under a Sewing Machine. There were many different replacements in the beginning; Bur-gess was the first member getting fired. Already at that time Angus had his distinctive school uniform, an idea from his sister Margaret. In September 1974, Bon Scott replaced Evans. The band had only played in a single with Evans, with the tracks «Can I Sit Next to You, Girl» and «Rockin’ in the Par-lour». The first track was played inn all over again with Scott under the name «Can I Sit Next to You Girl», and was released on the Australian version of T.N.T, and on the international issue of High Volt-age. Today AC/DC is still playing live and released a new album in 2008 named “Black Ice”. Witch sold for 1, 7 millions items the first week, and went up in the lists of top albums in a total amount of 29 countries. The second vocalist of AC/DC, Bon Scott, died 19th February 1980 after heavy drinking in the city. It’s speculated that he swallowed his own puke.

He was also alcohol poisoned. More things regard-ing AC/DC was their success. Their debut album came in 1975 and was the Australian version of High Voltage. The album was recorded on only 10 days. On this time the band had a stable crew with the Young brothers, Scott as a vocalist, and Mark Evans on Bass guitar, while Phil Rudd played the drums. In the time from 1974 till 1977 the band was one of the most popular and successfull in Australia, thanks to a lot of Appearances on in-ternational television. In 1976 the band signed an international record deal with Atlantic Records, and toured through Europe.

They were the heating band for including Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Kiss and Blue Öyster Cult. The band gave out the international version of High Voltage in 1976, and sold 3 million examples. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap was released the same year.

After the release of Let There Be Rock from 1977, Mark Evans was fired during conflicts with Angus Young. He was replaced with Cliff Williams.
