For the interior of the book, you can request up to 25 text (author) changes to this first proof only at no cost. If you need more than 25changes, or if you request changes to future proofs, you can purchase additional modifications at a rate of $100 per block of 25 changes.If formatting changes such as font choice/size are also needed, indicate these changes on the modification form as well, and they will becompleted at no charge.

For the book cover, you may make any number of changes to this first proof only at no cost. I f you need to make changes to future proofs,you can purchase additional text modifications for $25 per round or design changes for $70 per round.

Book Pricing

Now that we have determined your book’s page count, you can set your book’s pricing using our pricing calculator on the Author Center.The price of your book is based on the print type, page count, and trim size of your book. You have a black & white book with a trim sizeof 6x9 and a page count of 212.

The calculator is accessed by logging into your Author Center and clicking the “Set Pricing” link that appears on your dashboard. Whenyou reach the calculator, you will see our standard pricing for your book’s page count pre-populated. You will set two prices for eachformat of your book: a retail channel price for third-party sellers such as Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble and a website price for salesdirectly through the AuthorHouse website. Press the “Set Prices” link beside each format to type in either your desired retail price or theroyalty you would like to receive. The minimum price available is one that will earn you no royalties and the maximum price is double thedefault price that appeared when you first loaded the calculator.

Your royalty for printed formats is calculated by subtracting the various costs involved with printing and distributing your book from theretail price you select. Those costs include the discount provided to retailers, the actual print cost of your book, and internal costs that weincur while making your book available for sale. Because we do not need to provide a retail discount for sales through theAuthorHouse.com website, you can earn more at a given price per copy than you can from sales through third parties. I would like to let you know that we have completed the preparation of your files and are

sending them on to our printer today. The printer will set up these approved files and push your book into the marketplace. This process takes approximately 10–15 businessdays to complete in its entirety. Once this process is complete, your book will be “live” oravailable in the marketplace for purchase. When working with print-on-demand printers,it is not possible to receive a bound printer copy before the book is available for sale.You can expect to receive one printer copy of your book after 1–2 weeks of your bookbeing accepted by the printer. Once you receive this copy, you may contact your BookConsultant to order any copies that were included in your publishing package.

As a benefit of working with our company, your book will be available through manyonline retailers often referred to as “channels.” Each submission channel operates in aslightly different way, and the timelines involved can vary significantly. sending them on to our printer today. The printer will set up these approved files and push your book into the marketplace. This process takes approximately 10–15 businessdays to complete in its entirety. Once this process is complete, your book will be “live” oravailable in the marketplace for purchase.
