‘inexhaustible vessel’ During the Bhoodan
movement, Vinoba Bhave invited people to collect a fist full of grain to be shared with the poorest in the neighborhood
Today, Jyotsna Parmar created Akshay Patra, a.k.a. Project 365 for people to collect one rupee daily for a year in a recycled painted water bottle for the poor in their neighborhood.
PROJECT 365 ‘AKSHAY PATRA’
“Imagine this empty bottle to be like your mind, every day when you will put one rupee in it knowing it will do good, you will be sending out a compassionate and gratitude thought to your mind and slowly your heart and mind will be filled with love.”
Jyotsna Parmar
