Why don't  we see advertisements for options in the

media?

In the media, constantly recurring advertisements make "unfortunate" beginners believe that they can quit their job in a short period of time, with almost zero knowledge and they can easily make a living with trading. This is especially true in case of FX advertisements.

Why don't  we see advertisements for options in the media?

That's because FX "seems" to be really easy at first. You just buy EUR/USD with a leverage of 100, it goes a little bit into your direction and you earn 10% of your capital, while the annual bank rate is 6%. This sounds good, doesn't it? Obviously, this is why many people start trading, and lose everything they have.

Let's make a short comparison

At first glance, the basics of FX trading take a lot less time to learn than understanding options trading. That is true.

Therefore, it seems to be much easier. But, let's make a short comparison, of how time consumption varies later. Since FX is the most common form of trading, I'm going to compare options trading with that.

FX trading vs. Options trading

FX trading

can be learned in a relatively short period of time

successful operation takes a long time, especially in case of daytrading.

Options trading

more time is required to learn it,

less time is needed for successful operation.

The options market is just the opposite of this

That is, basics of FX can be learned in much less time, but it takes a lot more time to operate trading.

Respect to the few exceptions who perform swing trading on the FX market, since the majority of traders monitor M15, H1 candles. So the initial time investment is low, successful operation of the system, however, requires more time from you.

The options market is just the opposite of this. It takes much longer to learn, but later, much less time is needed for the successful operation.

When do you want spend more time out

of your life for it?

As options are basically not daytrading instruments, the system can be easily managed in 1-2 hours a day when operating the given trading system. But the fact is, it takes longer to learn.

In summary, it can be said that when it comes to the options market, you need more time first so that you need less time later, while the opposite is true for FX or other instruments.

The question is: when do you want spend more time out of your life for it? In the beginning, or every day?

I decided this a long time ago. Have you ever thought about this?
