The IUM Doctoral program is a three years program (36 months), with an innovative teaching process that mixes on-site seminars, online courses, business insights, individual on-site and online support by designated advisors, and participation in international conferences. The goal is to allow experienced professionals to treat a managerial problem in an academically rigorous manner to produce and spread new managerially relevant knowledge.

TO SYNOPSIS
how1. The First YearSeminars on methodological foundations, with blocks of on-site teaching reinforced by on-line learning resources and distance video linkups. This part of the program ensures the knowledge base and methodological maturity necessary for carrying out research at DBA level.Specification of the DBA research project, taking into account the aptitudes, motivations and interests of each student. The development of a research proposal takes place progressively, through the DBA candidates own work, through on-site and on-line exchanges with advisors, other faculty members and international experts, and through exchanges amongst the DBA students themselves.The goal of the first year of the program is to develop research questions based on the state-of-the-art in relevant literature and a research proposal. If successful, a Certificate of Research in Business Administration is granted to the student.
2. The Second YearOn-site seminars on advanced applied methods finalize the training for empirical research work. Seminars concerning organizational change, leadership, coaching, and consulting enhance the skills of the students in the successful implementation of their research results. And a course on academic writing reinforced by on-site and on-line support through two advisors prepares the students for the submission of a paper to an international academic conference.The goal is to successfully submit a paper to an international academic conference in the field of research based on the research proposal and preliminary empirical evidence.
3. The Third YearSeminars on teaching skills, professional and academic communication help reinforcing skills of knowledge transfer to diverse audiences. The pursuit of the research program includes the submission of a manuscript to an international academic journal with the support of the advisors and fellow students (on-site and at a distance through video-conferencing, “classroom discussions” and mutual reviewing). This guidance combines the stages of writing up the research synopsis and preparation for its presentation and defense.The goal is to finish the empirical work, to publish the research results, and to defend the doctoral work in front of an international jury.

Residential WeeksAs part of their curriculum, the DBA students attend six residential weeks: in Monaco, in London, and Geneva. During these weeks, they participate in classes, seminars, and business insights.
The DBA SynopsisThe synopsis is a presentation of the entire DBA project starting from the description of the managerial problem tackled in an academically rigorous manner down to the managerial implications of the results of the research project. It summarizes the original applied research that engages the profes-sional experience.
The Monaco DBA makes you walk the walk. This program is led by a Director and a team full of worldly and academic wisdom, rigorously consequent with their focus on making you perform while doing so with an open and caring eye. This environment enabled me to significantly advance the intervention framework of Panthera Solutions through my DBA research. Noteworthy unintended consequence: our cohort rich of strong characters allowed me to find friends for life.
