Moldova has no major mineral deposits and the economy depends heavily on agriculture, featuring fruits, vegetables, Moldovan wine, and tobacco.Moldova must import all of its supplies of petroleum, coal, and natural gas, largely from Russia

• Briu [bree-uh] – wide belt, usually red, with stripes of different colours.

• Catrinta [cut-’reen-tza] – long black skirt, usually worn with an embroidered apron.
