INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
CONFORMITY TO REGULATIONS AND LAWSThe appliance is to be installed by an authorised person inaccordance with AS5601 - the installer must ensure theinstallation complies with all regulatory and manufacturerrequirements and operationally and functionally test, makenecessary adjustments and commission the appliance as partof installation.
WARNING
The manufacture declines any responsibility if theseobligations are not respected.
INSTALLATION
The overall dimensions, position/dimensions of connectionsand technical data are given in the installation diagram. If the appliance cannot be adjusted to perform correctly callthe tecnichal assistant service.
Positioning• Install the appliance in a suitably ventilated environment.• Position the appliance at least 15 cm from surroundingwalls. This distance may be reduced if the walls areflameproof or protected by insulating material.• This appliance is not designed for built-in installation.• Remove the protective film from the external panels.Use a suitable solvent to remove any glue residue.• In stand-alone installations, appliances 40 or 60 cm widemust be fixed to the floor using the flanged feet.• Level the appliance by means of the adjustable feet.• In case of installation on a level bench top, it must be usedthe approriate feets equipped with the applince (height = 30mm).
Joining appliances together in line ( Fig. 1 )• Remove the control panels ( Fig. 1A ).• Remove the fixing screw nearest the control panels, fromeach side to be joined ( Fig. 1B ).• Place the appliances next to each other and level them untilthe tops match ( Fig. 1C ).• Insert the coupling plate ( supplied ) into the side housingson the backs. Join together the appliances screwing M5flathead screws ( supplied ) in to coupling plate ( Fig. 1D ).• Turn 180º one of the two plates inside the appliances to bejoined together ( Fig. 1E ).• Join together the appliances , at the front side, screwing theM5x40 screw ( supplied ) on the opposite insert (Fig. 1F ).
Connecting to the gas supply• Install a shut-off valve upstream of the appliance, in aplace easily accessible.• Check if the appliance is adjusted for the type of gas withwhich it will be supplied. If not, convert it according to theinstructions in the paragraph "Conversion to different type ofgas".• Do not use supply pipe having a diameter smaller than theappliance’s gas connection.• Check that there are no leaks at the connection points.
Connecting to the electrical power supply• The appliance is set to operate at the voltage indicated onthe data plate.Total power is given in table T6 in TechnicalData section.• The appliance must be supplied with a separate electricalline using a flexible rubber cable with insulating propertiesnot inferior to H07RN-F. The length of the cable between thecable clamp and the connection terminal blocks must be suchthat the live conductors tighten before the yellow/green earthwire, in case the cable come out of the cable clamp.
• Install suitable automatic cut-off switches (contact openingof at least 3 mm) and highly sensitive automatic differentialprotection devices. These must guarantee protection againstdirect or indirect contact with live parts and against currentstowards earth in the event of malfunction (maximumdispersion current 1 mA/kW).• To access terminal board remove the front panel.• Connect the power supply cable to the terminal board asshown in the wiring diagram supplied whit the appliance.
Earth and equipotential connection• The appliance must be earth connected on the terminalblock marked by the symbol located beside the input lineterminal block.• The metal structure of all the appliances installed must beconnected together on the terminal marked by the symbol
located close to the earth terminal (equipotential system).
CONVERSION TO A DIFFERENT TYPE OF GAS
To convert the appliance to a different gas supply, follow theinstructions below.Use the injectors contained in the bag supplied with theappliance.
Replacement of burner injector and pilot burner injectorof cooking hob (Fig. 2A / 2B )• Remove pan grids, burner units, front panel.• Unscrew the existing injectors "U" / “UP” and replace themwith the ones indicated in Table T1 in Technical Datasection.
Replacement of burner injector and adjustment ofburner air flow of solid top (Fig. 2E-2G)• Remove front panel.• Unscrew the existing injector "U" and replace it with theone indicated in Table T1 in Technical Data section.• Position the air regulator at the distance “A” indicated inTable T2 in Technical Data section.• Retighten screw V and seal it with red paint.
Replacement of pilot burner injector of solid top(Fig. 2F)• Remove plate , front panel.• Unscrew fitting R and replace injector “UP” with the oneindicated in Table T1 in Technical Data section.• Retighten fitting R.
Adjustment of minimum flow to the cooking hob burnersand solid top burner (Fig. 3A)• Remove the front panel.• Unscrew the existing screw "VM" and replace it with theone indicated in Table T1 in Technical Data section.
Replacement of burner injector and adjustment ofburner air flow of oven (Fig. 2C)• Remove the panel under oven's door.• Unscrew screw “V”.• Unscrew the existing injector "U" and replace with the oneindicated in Table T1 in Technical Data section.• Position the air regulator at the distance “A” indicated inTable T2 in Technical Data section.• Retighten screw V and seal it with red paint.
Replacement of pilot burner injector of oven (Fig. 2D)• Remove the panel under the oven's door.
(CR0687760) 15
• Unscrew fitting R and replace injector “UP” with the one
indicated in Table T1 in Technical Data section.• Retighten fitting R.
Adjustment of the gas control outlet pressure• The outlet pressure adjustment screw is factorycommissioned (fully in) and sealed with red paint. No adjustment are required in case of conversion to adifferent type of gas.
COMMISSIONING PROCEDURE
Testing the gas system• Switch on the appliance following the instructions for use.Test burners ignition and flame uniformity. Also check theappliance for gas leaks and make sure the gas exhaust systemfunctions correctly.• If necessary, consult the “Troubleshooting guide” below.
Testing the gas nominal thermal power• After installation, conversion to a different type of gas orservicing, check the nominal thermal power of the appliance.• The appliance functions at the nominal thermal power whenis fitted with the appropriate injectors for the gas used, thegas control is commissioned according to manufacturerrequirements (see paragraph "Adjustment of the gas controloutlet pressure), and the gas pressure measured at themanifold pressure test point is commissioned to theappropriate nominal value as specified in Table T5 inTechnical Data section.
Setting the manifold gas pressure (Fig. 3)• Remove the front panel.• Remove sealed bolt PP from the test point pressure andconnect the pressure gauge pipe.• Switch on the appliance following the instructions for useand commission the test point pressure values to theappropriate nominal values as specified in Table T5 inTechnical Data section.
Testing the electric oven• Switch on the oven following the instructions for use.• Check the correct functioning of the controls and heatingelements, trying the various combinations (bottom heating, top heating and simultaneous top and bottom heating).• If necessary, consult the “Troubleshooting guide” below.
Cheking the electrical nominal thermal power• After installation, check the nominal thermal power of theappliance.• The appliance functions at the nominal thermal power whenthe electrical power supply is as indicated in Table T1 inTechnical Data section.
