Miss Josephine Marie Scheibner, second
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. I Scheibner of Wooldridge
became the bride of Henry Ewing Coffman also of
Wooldridge on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Jamestown.
The Evangelical pastor Rev. Ansley read the
ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. C. I. Scheibner and daughter,
Marguerite, and Mrs. Ansley, witnessed the wedding.
The bride wore a lovely flat crepe dress of
Hagdad blue with black accessories. The groom wore
a suit of oxford gray.
The bride is an attractive young lady and a
graduate of the 1933 class of Prairie Home high
school. The groom is an industrious farmer and they
make their home in his farm south of Wooldridge.
Immediately following the ceremony they left on a
honeymoon for Jefferson City and California, returning
Sunday. A wedding dinner was served at the home of
her parents, to the following relatives: Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond Coffman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry
Renfrow, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Chipley, Glasgow, Mo.,
Mrs. Blanche Wagner, and son, Daniel of New
Franklin, Mr. and Mrs. Ewing Commen, Mr. and Mrs.
C. O. Scheibner and daughter.
Richardson – Dye Wedding Solemnized 03 Jun 1950
WOOLDRIDGE, June 10 - Before an altar banked
with white gladiolus and candelabra with burning
candles, the marriage of Miss Marian Richardson,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse D. Richardson of
Wooldridge, and Mr. William Lesly Dye, Jr., son of Mr.
and Mrs. W. L. Dye, Sr., of Denver, Colo., was
solemnized, Sunday at the First Baptist Church. The
double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. Wayne
Rosecrans.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her
father, wore a gown of bridal satin, made with a close-
fitting bodice, full skirt, with a short train, a standing
princess collar and long sleeves with satin buttons
holding the pointed cuffs. Her veil was held by a
braided satin coronet. She carried a white orchid
surrounded with white shattered carnations with
streamers fastened to a white Bible.
She was attended by her sister, Mrs. Alex Nixon,
as matron of honor. Mrs. Nixon wore blue taffeta with
a blue taffeta sash. She wore an organdy hat with a
braided cornet brim, similar to that worn by the bride.
Her flowers were red roses tied with matching satin
streamers.
The groom was attended by Ralph Hoenisch of
Yonkers, New York, as his best man. Both young men
are students at the University of Missouri.
Ushers were David Richardson, Wooldridge,
Allan Dye, Denver, Kent Miller, Newport News,
Virginia, and Tom Cole of Webster Groves.
The bride's mother wore a brown sheer crepe
dress with white accessories. Her corsage was a
white gardenia, with pink carnations . The groom's
mother wore navy blue sheer with navy accessories
and a gardenia and carnations corsage.
Miss Joyce Dodson payed apropriate music
preceding the service and accompanied by Miss
Nancy Major of Kansas City who sang "I Love You
Truly" and "Because.” Miss Dodson was gowned in a
summer formal of pink swiss embroidered organdy.
The reception immediately following the
ceremony was held in the church parlors with Miss
Elizabeth Gibbs and Miss Virginia Kaiser of Fayette in
charge of the serving. They were assisted by Miss
Elaine Weicken of Versailles, Mrs. Robert Cooper,
Stover, Mis Marilyn Miller, Boonville. The table was
covered by a lace cloth with a three-tiered wedding
cake topped with a miniature bride and groom
surrounded by vari-colored sweetpeas.
The couple left following the reception for a brief
honeymoon.
Mrs. Dye is a graduate of Prairie Home High
School and the University of Missouri. She has taught
school several years, her work this year being in
Syracuse grade school. She is a member of the Alpha
Gamma Delta Sorority and the Sigma Epsilon and
Alpha Sigma Pi Honor Fraternity.
Mr. Dye was graduated June 9 from the B. and P.
A. School of the University of Missouri with his degree
in accounting. He is a member of the Delta Tau Delta
Social Fraternity.

Plan Spring Wedding
Herbert Dungan of Prairie Home announces the
engagement of his daughter, Ruth, to Sam Thompson,
son of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Thompson of Bismarck, Mo.
Miss Dungan is a senior at Prairie Home High School.
Mr. Thompson is a student at the University of
Missouri. A spring wedding is planned.
150 Attend Shower for Newlyweds
CLARK'S FORK - Pvt. and Mrs. Cecil Windsor,
Jr., who were recently married, were honor guests at
a miscellaneous shower Saturday evening at the
Wooldridge schoolhouse.
One hundred and fifty guests were present.
The newlyweds received many useful gifts and
were entertained with a musical program presented by
the following: Cecil Windsor, Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Wolfe, Henry Odom, Lavonda Bruce, Donald Coffman,
Don Huebbe. Evelyn and Ronnie Newell.
A wedding cake centered the serving table which
was baked by Mrs. Louis Wolfe, iced by Mrs. Bud
Blank and decorated by Mr. Blank.
Pvt. Windsor will report at Fort Ord, Calif., April
17.
