Member Secretary informed that recruitment drive shall
be done as a routine twice a year before the
commencement of each semester to make good of the
movement of faculty. He confirmed that exit interviews
are taken by Senior Admin Officer, Principal and
Director for the faculty who leave the institute. Majority
of the listed faculty have left due to relocation of spouse
and few have managed government jobs and in banks.
Members suggested to document the same through an
exit interview form so that a periodic review may
improve the existing practices as this feedback is
essential for the growth of the organization.

NIRF data Submission
Members strongly felt that every effort should be made
to know the criterion for ranking under NIRF and every
effort including outsourcing so that GRIET is on the
national map.
Members recommended that by rotation one department
can present their highlights and achievements in every
Governing Body meeting in future.
Dr Ramamurthy shared his interaction with faculty at
DIAT, Pune, when he went there as external expert to
shortlist PhD candidates. He felt happy that GRIET is
known with its research work in mechanical engineering
high temperature material characterization. DIAT was
hinting that GRIET should aim for big event like satellite
launching etc. Though it is welcome, members felt we
should start in a modest way to increase the
interdepartmental projects within the college first.
