This program will prepare residents to be effective urban teachers through a rich clinical experience aligned to high-quality, contextualized coursework.

What? The Minneapolis Residency Program will include a yearlong clinical experience in-between two intensive summers of University of Minnesota coursework (approx. 15 months of preparation)

Who? MPS, MFT and the University of Minnesota

Principals can support the Minneapolis Residency Program in two ways:

1) Recommending talented MPS employees to apply

2) Becoming a residency cluster site

All principals can encourage talented MPS employees in their building to fill out the Inquiry Form on the MPS Grow Your Own webpage.
