The United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in partnership with TheMinistry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and ICLEI - LocalGovernments for Sustainability is organising a ‘Local and Regional Governments Day’. The event is part of the 14th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP14) to the UNCCD.

The Local and Regional Governments Day will provide a platform for key stakeholders to interact with global peers, present good practices by local and regional governments and highlight policy measures necessary to enable local action. The event outcomes will feed into the discussions during the High Level Segment of the COP - “Rural and Urban Communities: Failing or Flourishing Together”, on the 9th of September.
