Qualifications

To Qualify for Minimum Day

•  You need to have 17 credits by the end of your Junior Year.

•  You cannot need any more than 6 credits to Graduate.

•  You must have your own transportation to and from school/you cannot remain at school on your Minimum day period.

•  You must be in good standing regarding behavior and maintain good behavior in school.

* You must sign, have parent sign and complete the Minimum Day Application, scan and email it to your counselor. *Make sure you let us know what course(s) you are requesting to drop for each semester.

Things to Consider

Make sure you have explored other viable options and opportunities: •  Students cannot combine minimum day with Dual Enrollment or Work Based

Learning. •  Have you considered Dual Enrollment/the opportunity to earn College credits

while in High School? •  Have you considered Work Based Learning/the opportunity to develop work skills

while in High School? •  Have you considered the impact additional rigorous courses will make on your

College Application?

Give Careful Consideration to Credits

What will happen if you fail a course?

•  Student Athletes who participate in Minimum Day must pass all their classes first semester to be eligible second semester.

•  Students who have 17 credits and do Minimum Day cannot fail a single class and graduate.

•  Students who have 18 credits and do Minimum Day can not fail more than one class and graduate.

•  Do you have all the skills in Career Pathways you need to compete?

•  Do you have all the skills in Fine Arts you need to compete?

•  Do you have all the skills in World Language you need to compete?

•  Do you have all the skills in Academics you need to compete?
