• Need a minimum of 50 Stage 2 credits and 60 Stage 1 credits to progress to Stage 3.
• All DN200 students must complete the subject selectionform and return it to the Science Office before noon onFriday April 14th
• You fill out either single-major or joint-major preferences.
• For single-major you must list all of your Stage 2 subjects in order of preference.
Progressing to Stage 3
• 98-99% of students get their first choice of degree major• Pharmacology, Neuroscience and Physiology are sometimes
oversubscribed.
• Criteria for allocation: (i) Student order of preference onforms handed in by the deadline and then (if needed) (ii) Number of credits completed and (iii) Stage 2 GPA.
• We will inform you of subject demand by the end of semester,and your degree major is assigned after final exam results.
Allocation of Stage 3 Subjects/Majors
Looking further ahead…the importance of Stage 3
• In Stage 3, in order to enter Stage 4, you must obtain aGPA of at least 2.48.
• Your final degree classification is based 70% on yourfinal year and 30% on your penultimate year• four year degree = 70 : 30, stage 4 : stage 3• three year degree = 70 : 30, stage 3 : stage 2
• Stage 4 project allocation may be based on Stage 3 GPA
